after all "Life" remains beautiful..!

As the last day of the first decade of the millennium comes to an end,I have no wish to re-visit and re-live all the pains and goriest human tragedies and suffering that was visible through the years 2001 to 2009.No doubt with Global financial crisis adding to these human sufferings, the decade perfectly qualified to be called a decade of trauma. The value of human life may have become shockingly cheep, yet our hope and aspiration to not only survive but also to progress as better human being continues to remain pulsating within us.I am sure we have not done yet with life. The decade that we are just about to pass over, did make us realize that human tragedies and sufferings remain equally painful and terrifying to all without any geographical divide. Let us energies our will and remain positive to wake up to a new beginning...as the clock strikes 12 this mid night.......after all this life remains beautiful and we know how precious it is to us and as well to our near and dears. Let

"who is baiting who"..?

"Water" is 'elixir' of life. You need oxygen to breath. So you can't live without water and oxygen. These are established scientific facts which no one can either dispute nor dodge. However when you are 'dead' how does it matter to you if it was due to water contamination or breathlessness.... 'Philosophy' is fine to talk about but not enough to 'live' your life as it last. If you scratch your gray cell to find out the core reasons for crimes, corruptions and "Aam Aadmi" ka cribs..you will definitely find "Money" a motivating factor. The best thing is that you don't have to become a "Sherlock" for this 'fact' finding mission. Be it an "Ambani", or a "Madhu Koda", be it an honorable high court "Judge" or a political "stalwart" one thing that keeps all of them united is "Money". However the 'ratio proportioning' and 'rounding off' f

All's Well..!

There are hardly any more days' for year 2009 to go "back stage" and become the part of the history book. Will it be right..? if I don't look back at the gone by months. Will it be wise of me.? if I invest my "time now" looking forward for a great year ahead. Well every year we do pose these questions. However they pass away as months role out and the year comes to an end. "Economic Slowdown" and 'recession' remained the buzz word in the corporate corridors. The year saw me getting 'self motivated' through all those corporate 'mantras' that said "make economic slowdown as an opportunity to growth". However it took me almost the entire of the '12' months to realize that.. what is good for corporate may not be good for individuals. It also proved that corporate is after all not about people. It is more about "bottom lines". Here is my take from year 2009... The year helped me to learn that you do

Seedhi Baat, No Bakwaas..!

"No "Terrorist" should be caught alive and given the luxury a court trial for fair justice, instead they should be "shot dead" instantly as and when they are caught".The lines above remain a precise 'reflection' of a 'common man's' common sense. However this will amount to a most "atrocious disrespect" to our judiciary system. Politically speaking, we trust our "judiciary" because it believes in dragging a case to 'eternity', if that helps in delivering "justice". "When ever there is is a terrorist attack,we immediately start pointing our fingers at our neighbouring countries, instead of "instantly" going into action by rounding up all big ,small and sundry politicians, putting them in a container and then throwing the 'container' into the Arabian sea". This may again sound the "voice" of a 'common man's' common sense. However 'constitutiona

No scream for "ice cream"

This 'post' is my reaction to today's "htCity" news item.."American ice cream brand gets into "racist" trouble at the launch of their first outlet in India"... I am sure many of us still may not have made it to the shores of America. However for most of us 'America' continues to be a 'vision' statement and a reference of 'America' invariably finds a slot both in our short and long term goals. However does all this "America" fixation make us little less Indian and little more American may always remain a debatable. However I can cross my heart as an "Aaam Aadmi" and say whatever fascination I may have for that country across the Atlantic,my mind and my soul will always remain on the shores of Ganges and in the country that I will ever remain pride to call my "India".If I am putting up with their silly antics now and then in my own country,it only proves that I am ignoring their "Envy&qu

Ecnomics of "understanding"!

Decades in time as a student of "Economics" I was forced to mug up chapters from 'Paul Samuelson's' book "Economics An Introductory Analysis". I wish I had then made effort to 'grasp' those chapters instead of 'mugging' them up. May be this is the reason why today I find my knowledge of "Economics" so undernourished. Even today I remain 'utterly bitterly' confused of a factor called "GDP" Now again for instance if the 'GDP' of this country is on the rise, does it mean that the government's huge spending on 'Aam Aadmi's' welfare is being reflected significantly in improved condition of the 'Aam Aadmi'?. Does a 6.7% growth in country's 'GDP' remain unrelated to 'Aam Aadmi's' 'wait' at the water tap, every morning hoping that someday the "elixir of life" will trickle from it. Does the rise of country's 'GDP' no 'relevance'

"Breaking The Ice"

"Breaking the ice" has never been an issue with me.Be it striking a conversation with a gentleman,a lady or one of those weired strangers,I am always instantly at ease sliding into a 'right chord' with people of all sorts. You know why.!because I always, religiously keep myself updated on everything that's an 'happening'. I can talk at length about Tiger Wood's infidelity, though I may not be exactly sure about his 'handicap'. I can also just talk and talk about that book called "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. I also can debate 'minutes on end' about 'economic slow down' and on those 'growth engine' that thrust those "Richie Rich" straight to the Forbes's list. You see finding myself so updated,I never thought there will be any need to talk about "the weather" simply to "break the ice". However with passage of time I realise that lots of filth and garbage has flowed do

Strawberries,cherries &guess what..!

I am not a computer addict in the strictest sense, though I accept that I normally remain highly engaged with my computer.I hardly play any 'computer games' other than an occasional game of Solitaire. My social networking site begins and ends at "Linked In". I don't indulge in "Orkut",and neither 'Face book' has any time made me 'compulsive' enough to register. On the other side my wife normally keeps herself disengaged in the strictest sense from the computer. However when she starts playing "Bloobs" or "Free cell" then 'we' the rest in the 'family' very often miss the 'evening tea' and at times made to skip the "dinner". I would say she remains a 'classy' example of a "computer addict". Now ever since my wife, joined the "Face book", she has turned herself something of a "Farmer". I find her completely engrossed in buying, cows, pigs sheep a

When 'relevant' is irrelevant'..!.

"Dynasty" is definitely enjoying a free and unbridled power, fame and prosperity under a political system called "Democracy" in "India today" We have a "Nehru" family ruling the nation in the name of "Gandhi" and such precedence also extends into families irrelevant but 'made up' to remain politically 'relevant in states and at the center. Thank 'god' lady "Mayawathi" has no plans for marriage as yet! By the way the word "Dynasty" will always refer us to the pages of Indian "history". A reference of "Taj Mahal" and Red Fort",I am sure makes us simply marvel the splendour of Mughal Dynasty in India. It also reminds us of the violence and atrocities they unleashed to shake our faith in humanity. However the spirit of our tolerance, sustained us to live through and emerge unscathed.Incidentally all this reminds me of a fact which I am still not able to understand. You see when

Stupid people..!

We do generally remain divided in our belief, that 'we the people' under 'democracy' will always remain a 'stupid' lot. However some of us may agree to disagree on that. They maintain that since in 'democracy' it is "we the people" who elect the government,it makes us the "powerhouse" from where the 'government' of our choice draw power to keep the "Sarkar" hail & hearty. Knowing the human 'emotions', I think it will be a healthy proposition to keep such matters untouched & not debated upon. I find therefore, the tabling of " Liberhan Commission" report in the parliament an exercise in futility. After'17' years of the demolition of "Babiri Masjid", it is pointless to debate on it. However it is getting debated, may be out of a sense of duty, or out of desperate hope. Whatever be the reason, my question is can this country afford the "Parliament" sessions rem

Political 'spectators'

while respecting the will of the majority, "Democracy"zealously protect the fundamental rights of individuals and minority groups.A serious student of political science will appreciate and as well understand this. But what about the 'Aam Admi"? Does he at all believe that "democracy zealously protect the fundamental rights of individual and minority groups". Let us look at some of the the day to day events,to understand the "fundamentals" of Democracy in action. Let us check these out: When an 'Aam Admi" goes to the government hospital for serious medical treatment, the hospital very often sends him away, because of shortage of beds. However a 'politician' easily gets himself admitted to the hospitals, when ever he wants evade arrest for scams or crimes A road accident victim, has to wait for the police to complete formalities, before he is able to get the medical attentions. Many a times this wait costs him his life. However if the

"Jai Ram" ji ki..!

It is refreshing to notice that in a politically polluted environ, our Minister for "Environment and Forest" is able to stand up and at least accept that 8 lac people die every year in our country because of environmental factors. This news is worth the newsprint it is printed on. I am sure sooner or later the 'honorable' minister will also notice the plight of the living millions called "Aam Aadmi",who are presently walking, running and struggling to breath in an environ that may not have anything to do with 'global warming' or 'ozone layer' but has defiantly everything to do with with a "rut" called country's "Civic" authorities and state 'administrators. 'Honorable' minister, we understand that your 'power' and 'position' in the society will never allow you even by 'chance' to "encounter",what we the 'living people" have reconciled to live with. For instance lik

Meddelling "Media"

At times I am really 'wonder stuck', how our media is able to keep itself engaged so grossly on some most trivial issues. It's ability to hype 'silly points' and at times 'slip away' on important national issues continues to amaze. Where was the need to go around 'batting' on the national channel over a simple and natural response of one of our greatest gentleman cricketer & then try to "cover drive" the episode in the streets of Mumbai/Delhi. 'Sachin Tendulkar' and all of us do know we are 'Indians' and have the liberty to live, work, eat and play 'cricket' anywhere in India. Be it' Maharashtra' or' Madhya Pradesh' how does it matter? Now if some 'self centered' politicians in the country are taking time to know this, just leave them alone. I am sure with time they will realize their follies. I agree 'journalism' is all about having a nose for 'news'.However it doesn'

"Raj" the "headache"

"Hai Hey Bom Bom Bombay Meri Hai" This is that evergreen Usha Iyer's pop number, which will even today keep you dancing happily on the sands of "Chowpathi". The politics of 'nonsense' have succeeded in re-cherishing BOMBAY as Mumbai.Never mind still for the "Aam Aadmi" this wonderful & glorious mega city will always remain a "jara hat ke jara bach ke, yeh hai Bombay meri jaan". So why "wake up "Sid" to say sorry! Politicians and associated events are making this city a Waterloo of sorts for the "Aam Aadmi".How else should I describe "BOMBAY TODAY" which is reeling under a 'cult' of aimless, non-creative and non-responsible community of "idiots",who are now going round the city and its suburbs spreading a situation of anarchy. The'Aam Aadmi'here remain angered, inconvenienced, miserable and totally shocked by their every day drama. The inaction of the state government &

"Vande Mataram"

I don't believe that you require an idle mind to create a "devil's workshop".We all know that our politicians remain constantly engaged in manufacturing problems, imaginary and generally destructive. They do this to keep up their own political ambition and nefarious intents thriving. Region and Religion, remain two of the most used raw materials in this process. They use these raw materials to fuel mob violence, instigate riots & encourage damaging public properties. These are things that only devil headed people can conceive, and as well action them . Let us quickly take a peep on what's cooking in their "hearth" and see what is boiling ! MNS for one..This is a regional political party who claim exclusive rights for "Amachi Mumbai".They are becoming aggressive in forcing the "Aam Aadmi" to 'eat, sleep and breath'"Marathi". However as for themselves and their family they continue to wake up and start their day with Good

"Look how much they are eating".!

Mr.BUSH.. Welcome to our land of "Atithi Devo Bhava".This is greetings from your so called classified Indian 'middle class'. I know you would prefer to say "How are you guys" and go around patting our backs. We appreciate that. However being 350 million people,it is not humanly possible for you to do just that.Incidentally in our country we are more popularly called the "Aam Aadmi". You may relate us to the ordinary people of America. However here we are much more exposed to harsh and rough realities of living.I wish you would have come here as a "Pilgrim than as a tourist",that is what "Martin Luther King" had said and that is what we also say to our guest from other lands. The every day life of the "Aam Aadmi" here remains incredibly unpredictable and chaotic. Thanks to our "Democracy",with every elections,we continue to remain an "Audacity of Hope".Believe me,the lavish 'lunch' ,'cockta

Khatron Ke Khiladi

Somewhere 'inside' me I also once'wished' to be the part of the reality show called "Khatron Ke Khiladi". However like all my other 'wishes' this also became a "dream not come true". You see to participate in all these 'reality' shows you need to be a celebrity'and also able to 'brag' about it. No doubt I am a celebrity, but the problem is I have nothing at all to 'brag' about it. I also happen to be a 'Khatron Ka Khiladi'. However I don't get an'Akshy Kumar'to boost my morale. Neither there is a 'crew' around me shouting "lights, camera, action". Anyway I never want to be a part of any "shoot", still at 'times stray bullets do attempt to 'whizz past' my "skull". By the way my name is "Aaam Aadmi" and am the "darling" of the "politicians" when it is raining "elections'. Now coming back let me show why I said

Light up mind..!

We are taught right from our childhood the the significance of our festivals. We know 'Dussehra' celebration signifies victory of good over evil. We understand in 'Diwali' lighting a lamp symbolizes the destruction of all negative forces- wickedness, violence, lust, anger, envy, greed, fear, injustice, oppression and suffering etc. From ages we have been celebrating these festivals, yet we have not learnt to emulate them in the life that we live. Evils continue to rule us in the form of terrorism, civil war and communal disturbances. We still continue to be bred by negative energy. What else should we call the oppression of poor by rich, what else should we term the animal instinct of greed, lust and crime that is consuming our passion and energy. We can't live in state of isolation and keep blaming the society for all the wrongs that's happening. We need to look at our own self and try to trace those bits of negative energy that remains pulsating within us.Let us believe

OBAMA for Peace-Noble& Prize

Congratulations..Mr.President for bagging the most coveted Noble prize for "Peace". You deserve it if it is for delivering the people of America from an evil called Mr.Bush.However you cannot be nominated for this 'prize'just because you hope and wish to change the world order as it is seen today.Noble prize as I understand is for achievements and not for 'beliefs'and 'Hope'. You need time, effort, focus and a missionary zeal to bring about a transformation in this world of today which stands torn between war, hatred and violence. Mr.President we do see Iraq still simmering,we still find American soldiers being air dropped into Afghanistan. Violence still continues to consume human lives in Israel and Palestine. Last but not the least we still find Terrorism continuing unabated to be most funded universal cause. Anyways Mr.Obama you advocated change and so you have bagged the Noble prize. Is this Change a HOPE or an achievement who cares..!

"Gandhi" a name to reckon !

Had it been names like 'John','Johnny','Janardhan',I would have casually said what's in a name! and left it there for the "naseeb"to take on. However you can't remain so casual about a name called "GANDHI". Today this name has proved to be much more than Domino's power pizza because the "aam aadmi" is loving it. Honestly be it Mac or Donald....this is no branding campaign. This name "Gandhi" today dominates the political power of the largest democracy in the world. This name doesn't need muscle power to inspire "aam aadmi". 'Symbolic' gestures of "austerity" drives and "cattle-travel" are enough to keep this "Gandhi family".roaring with power. Democracy at the end of it all remains for them simply a "family affair". Far away from this 'Gandhi' of today..there once stood a "Gandhi" who dared the mighty British Empire with his 'sim

saddi "Navi Dili" aho ji..!

That was a time when one could have never imagined 'St Stephens college' becoming a co-ed college, nor 'LSR' opening its gates for boys. Who could have thought 'Khalasa college' getting shifted to be near 'Miranda House' and 'Venketeswara college' becoming one of the elite colleges of DU.I never thought 'Dhaula Kuan' &'Safdurjung' roundabouts and 'Moolchand crossing' would one day get transformed to be one of the most stylish free ways of the country. Who ever knew then that one could commute from'Shahdara' to'Kashmiri Gate'in'30'minutes flat in the AC comfort of'DelhiMetro' Well Delhi has come a long way from being looked up as one 'big village' and a Babus own city to become a 'hip hop and happening' Mega city. 'Saddi Dili' is today on the 'fast track' of transforming into a world class city that may even beat ' 'San Francisco'and 'London

"Hindustan Bol Raha Hai"!

Aam admi today continues to remain so frustrated and pissed up with a "Hindustan" jo dik raha hai"!..that he hardly finds any truth in "Hindustan jo Bol Raha Hai"!.This has absolutely nothing to do with a TV ad with almost a similar title where we see the youth icon 'Deepika Padukone' dancing from one shot to the other on a vigorous brand building exercise for BSNL. Coming back to Aam admi and his frustrations, let me buzz over his latest irk..in Delhi, the 'epicentre' of power and the venue of the upcoming "commonwealth Games". Caving roads & buildings, collapsing flyovers, cracking & gaping 'BRT' corridors, over flowing drains, flooding underpasses, derailing "Metros" are some few 'issues' in the parcel of civic "issues" that the Aam admi is enduring as he travels around the city everyday straining his limbs and patience through chaotic traffic jams and blinking traffic lights. However on the ot

"Kapil Sibal" aur "10 ka dum"....!

Had I said 'Salu's 10 ka dum'..it would have an instant connect. Anyway I am in no mood to strain my 'gray cells' over the reality shows. Let me instead carry on with Mr.Kapil Sibal's rejuvenation program on "Children,Education,Board". Does this title sound as weird a title....as "Jinnah,India Partition"...? Never mind.!...let me for the moment figure out "10" and tension...! We all know that a normal child and the majority of them generally get into a serious study pattern only when there is a 'Board Exam' on the head. Now by doing away with 'Board Exam' for 10th class children,it will be a "moja hi moja" time for the 10th class children for 2 years at a stretch. Practically speaking Mr.Kail Sibal and his team are happy in achieving a scheme of things that does't ease pressure but postpone it to re-surface with vengeance after a lull of 2 years. With no Board exam in the 10th, the children generally w

Neighbour's 'enemy' owners 'pride'

I don't think it's worth exchanging anymore the 'pak' greetings of "Assallam alaikum"(May peace be upon you)and "Waalaikum assalaam"(And peace also be upon you) with our neighbouring country.I think it is time our political leaders and parties shed their political approach in dealing with the deadly menace called terrorism..that has been allowed to breed and breath freely in the "neighbourhood". Being an aam admi I don't care if I am making a politically incorrect expression. It is my life and my belongings that always remains at highest stake & risk every time there is a terrorist attack. This is an open fact that no politician can dispute be it a 'Jinnah' fan or a'Jassu' admirer or the political opportunists themselves. A terrorist attack on our 'Parliament may have proved a 'flop show' but such attacks on streets of Mumbai,Delhi & other states..has always taken an uncountable toll of 'aam admi

"Jinnah" jaise koi nahi..!

Do you think I should have said "Jaswant jaise koi nahi"..for the title of this post. Looking at the marketing prospect of the book "Jinnah":India-Partition-Independence" I am sure even Mr Jaswant Singh would have agreed with me on "Jinnah" jaise koi nahi". Let us get back to Mr.Jinnah. Any one who has gone through the recorded history of India's Independence at the national Archives of India would agree with me that Mr.Jinnah was no where near to being "Pak" on his ideas of being "SECULAR". Had that been so.! there never would have been today a country called "Pakistan". And our government will not have been investing the "tax payer's" money so heavily on the security of our politicians. Well let us not fight with our "conscience" over something that happened 62 years ago. Better still let us leave this fight to our political leaders, who anyway don't wear their "conscience"

"Kaminey"..!

Being a gentleman of sorts,I am never able to use "gali galoch".......like using the phrase "kutte,Kaminey" while venting my frustration and anger on someone.Sometimes I feel it could be this reason for my not being able to cultivate a circle of friends, who would always find an excuse to tell me.. Boss! "Aap kaho Toh Dikha De", In "kutto kamino ko", "Ham Hai Kya Cheez" ..! Actually these are the 'phrases' that gives you both a "muscular & a popular" image in your locality & in the neighbour hood. I very often get into arguments with 'auto wallas' for over charging. However when they start shouting & their 'fist' movements start looking menacing, I instead of matching their voice, start murmuring ...... "Kutto, Kamino, Mey Tum Logo Ko Dekh Lunga"..! However I also make sure that even my 'murmur' is hardly audible to anybody other than myself. I think probably it is this rea

Love Aaj Kal...!

Our political Leaders are very much in 'love' with the 'Aam Aadmi'.They can go on and on talking about the 'Aam Aadmi'. They are so passionate about the 'Aam Aadmi' that at times they even choke while speaking about Aam Aadmi's a "tryst with destiny". Most of us generally associate 'Love Story' with saga of "Laila Majnu" and the classic tragedy of Romeo&Juliet. So when our 'Political leaders' talk about their unending love for 'Aam Aadmi'....it is confusing and sounds crazy. You bet it is 'different.'..! Let us now very quickly go over a few of the 'reasons' for our political leaders' "Love" for "Aam Aadmi". When an 'Aam Aadmi' elects him to 'Power'..there comes an instant transformation in him......!!!! His living status gets elevated.Fame, power and Money makes him arrogant. He gradually becomes inaccessible to 'Aam Aadmis' welfare and well

Here nothing but "Truth"..Pays.!

My childhood has seen me growing up hearing episodes from Ramayana & folklore's of Harischandra's honesty. It may sound silly and little late in life to debate on virtues of being honest. If you are looking for money, fame & power in life I am sure that your 'honesty' will remain your worst hindrance. That even Mr.Tom, Mr.Dick & Mr Harry would agree. You see in a real world you need to remain manipulative, street smart and never shy away from lying. This mantra if practiced to perfection will reasonably ensure that you are adequately comfortable in spite of recession and inflation notwithstanding. That said I am really overwhelmed to realise that the 'reality show'"Sach Ka Samna" in one of those TV channels ... pays you quite lavishly for being honest and truthful in front of the camera. Sadly you and I and all those Tom Dick & Harry cannot be a part of this reality show, since this is strictly by invitation and you can't expect an

"Minding the Gap"..!

There is no government sponsored public projects that can ever wish away political interventions. The Delhi Metro project was so far considered blessed to be able to keep away from political inferences.May be that was the prime reason for it being able to work ahead of the deadlines. However of late it seems to have after all caught in the slips in spite of being on a robust bating pitch. Well now the ball game of passing the monkey may live on till everything is wrapped out to a political perfection. However the blot on the clean chit that the "Team Metro" has been carrying so far....will remain an annoying spot in the "Aam Admi's" mind. However, it is but certain that the "Aam Admi" will keep his "prayers" lasting for the "Team Metro" to enable them to remain ultra vigilant in monitoring and minding the gap as it continue to drive "project Metro" through these 'rushing time for arriving on 'platform 2010' unscra

Yours "Unaturally"

Most of us I am sure would naturally agree that it is just not correct to say "its okay to be gay".How can we legislate something that is fundamentally on the wrong side of the "law of nature". 'Sick minds' and 'sick bodies' need cure not protection. This kind of judiciary interpretation of "life, liberty and equality" is a signal to coming disaster in the arena of "human sanctity". Nature's law of procreation is neither meant to be 'exploited' nor curtailed to the extent that not very long time away..the specie called "human being" will become an endangered specie. I am sure even 'Thomas Robert Malthus' one of those evolutionary biologist would not have approved this as an economic measure to control population. It will not be wrong to say that by legalising "homosexuality" we have paved a road that will see the future generation inheriting a "devils own civilization"

"Michael Jackson" a tribute

Amidst Global warming and environmental crisis, his music is a lush of global warmth. His pop numbers simply remain a craze with all young and old.For millions of pop addicts his over 100's of music numbers are always a pleasant 'thriller' from the aches of their growing up. His phenomenal fan following will become nothing short of a legend and a 'folk-lore' long long time after he is gone. Sadly for us Michael Jackson gave no one the time to wink when out of the blue he decided to bid this world goodbye. Michael Joseph Jackson is no more. Just at 50 he passed into eternity. Perhaps he realised his 'peter pan' image slipping away. "Better do it now before you get too old", "There ain't no rules its up to you" & "Its time to come alive" are some of the lines from his album "Off the Wall" All these will ever remain my 'road map' to walk my way through this life with 'hip, hop and pop'. Michael Jo

Just about...being a "Father"

A new world greeted them with smile and happiness when they... "Just met" and soon for them the wedding bells rang... Now, they are happily lost in their own world & together are learning to set- up a 'Home’ of their own... away from what was a home for them a little earlier in the year....That's "his" daughter & "his" son in-law. ..Being very adorable, the house has become little less chirpy after her moving out….. …."He" now does feel the boredom...but will never show it off... Because "he" is the father ...and expected to put on a stern face & always remain a 'matter of fact' person..... He is all set to explore & build-up a learning curve that may see him well in life in about a couple of years from now. After his graduation he may probably start living away from home in a distant land in pursuit of excellence...That's "His" son Being the darling of the house, "he" is

15th "Lok Sabha" a "Family Album"

Cutting across the barriers of "Region& Religion","Cast& Gender",Party &Ideology","Left,Right & Center" all the 543 members of Lok Sabha will remain unanimous and proud in declaring the Indian 'Parliament' a complete "Family Affair" In the 15th "Lok Sabha" we have two sets of 'Mother&son',4 sets of 'Father&son' besides hoards of sons, daughters, siblings, wives ,cousins and nephews. To add to these family trees we also have a fair dose of 'Bollywood' glamour. All these are bound to make a perfect cocktail for TV channels to scream a banner head line which may be similar to a current TV serial title "Ye Rista Kya Kehlata Hai...?. The great Indian Democracy has at last been able to emulate the Karl Marx's slogan "From each according to his Ability and to each according to his Need ". However to end the similarity to 'Communism', it has restricted the sc

Wah Kya Haath Hai..!

Their performance in the just concluded '5' year series was dismal. They failed to give both a responsible and safe governance.Well so what.? The 'Aam Admi' still decides to stretch his hand all out to bail them out for the next round of '5'year series. Is not this very true..! Hockey may remain the national game of "chak they India" but it is cricket that runs in the blood of the 'Aam Admi'. The average 'Aam Admi' is a street level 'cricketer'. The maximum he would have played would be either for his "gali" or his "basti", yet he can rattle out cricketing statistics at the drop of the hat. When it comes to national politics he prefers to lean on test cricketing strategy rather bank on quick 'T20' 'IPL' series. The "Congress" may have a record of bad scoring on the pitch. However their consistency of staying in the field is amazing. They may have bowled short deliveries. Also they may

' May ' & ' May not '..

I respect my vote and never treat it as a discount coupon to get a 20% off on a branded wear. I take pride in raising my left hand index finger to show off the election ink and remain one among the 714 million voters who casted their ballots in this year 2009 general elections. The out come of this election 'may' or 'may not' take note of Aam Admi's concern for job and prosperity. The outcome of this election 'may' or 'may not' take issue of Aam Admi's security in list of priorities. The out come this election 'may' or 'may not' threadbare the linen of secularism through politics of cast, region and religion. The out come of this election 'may' or 'may not' ensure the 'back' transfer of politicians 'Swiss' 'accounts'. Well all these 'may' and 'may not' will figure in the final run check of media's political analysis. For now however we need to wait for sure to see the 'mi

Because "WE" are worth it !!!

The only person who can tell us what is our 'worth'..is just "us". Sadly most of us remain ignorant of this and carry on with our life, compromised and reconciled to fate and circumstances. We all know politics in this country keep hitting a new low with every dawn. The greed ,arrogance and lust for power among our national and regional political leaders are becoming more and more contagious. They are today like those computer virus called 'Worm' & 'Trojan horse'. One remains compromising this country's security in the name of secularism and the other always has a private agenda for squandering & syphoning the country's 'wealth' & 'economy. Believe it or not we need to shake away our indifference and a reconciled attitude and task the politicians to perform or perish. It is time for us to recognize, assert and value the importance of our 'VOTE'. We agree that all the political parties in this country are corrupt.

"Korbo,Lorbo,Jeetbo Re"!!!

There are two IPL's almost being played around the same time. One in South Africa and the other back here on our own home pitch. One IPL is normally branded as a gentleman's game. The other IPL is generally regarded a rogue's ball game. One IPL has set of rules that remain cardinal to the game. The other IPL may have rules but hardly remain visible. In one IPL it is essential to deliver to win. In the other IPL it is just winning that matters. In one IPL it is your stamina that monitors your score card.In the other IPL it is your nexus to goons and antisocial elements that works your vote bank. In one IPL the bowler swings the ball and the batsman drives it to cover. In the other IPL the politicians will twist the fact to cover their misdeeds to drive in the votes. In one IPL umpiring remains the most effective watchdog to see the rules of the game are not flouted. In the other IPL umpiring remains just an eye wash to hood wink the voters. In one IPL if you are caught you ar

Yeh aram ka mamla hai....'kasab..se'!

'India today' is witness to criminals in hordes walking freely and famously the corridors of power& politics and also remorselessly stalking the streets of metropolis as Netas .The common man here today stands woefully convinced to accept this as his fate and perhaps the destiny too. Does it not make us repulsively helpless to see our 'judiciary system' going all out to protect and invest its entire machinery in ensuring that it doesn't err in declaring "Mohammed Ajmal Kasab" "GUILTY"of Massacre. He is the one lone terrorist caught in the act in the Mumbai's 26/11 terror attack. 26/11 saw people dropping dead on the streets without even getting a 'wink' of time to realise what hit him and her. It was a massacre that ran 'live'& full house on all channels. All the channels remained that day 'frenzy' with sadistic pleasure in beaming & zooming blood, bodies and human agony .It was a day when all the TRPs went

IPL vs IPL..howzzat..?

There is no choice. This IPL series has to be played here on the home pitch 'India'. 'You' 'Me' and 'Us' defiantly cannot afford to miss these matches that will be played across the country beginning this month. The stakes are our collective 'fate' and not the Bollywood biggie's lust called 'money'. The Outcome of this match therefore is going to be very crucial for all of us. Yes this "Indian Public league" (IPL)team is going to be 'You' 'Me' and millions of 'Us'..and we will be the batting team. "Indian political League"(IPL) consisting of various national & regional political parties, including herds of hungry 'fronts. They will put together remain both a great and notorious fielding team. Swinging and spinning the ball they will tempt us into hitting the loose deliveries. No doubt it will be a match of 'unequals',yet we should keep in mind that in this cricket..it is this &

But 'PAPU' Can "Vote"...'Sala'..!

"Sala".. is a generally accepted slang for both 'hum' the "Hindustani" and 'tum' the "Indian". Together this "HUM TUM" make the "Aam Admi"of the world's largest 'democracy'. This is our "INDIA".I agree with the TV ad that almost says "My India Strongest" in spite of the "Everest" of issues that surround her. Normally in this country the fate of the 'ordinary' people ie 'Aam Admi' always remain woefully harassed, pushed and frustrated through the year. However at the close every 5 years this 'Aam Admi' suddenly become extraordinarily powerful and remain wooed by all 'big, small and sundry' political parties of the country. Yes it is time for General Election. In the coming months for the 15th Lok Sabha, 714 million eligible voters would be 'bee lining' to the ballot boxes across 29 states,6 union territories to elect 543 members . 'Jaago-

My "Kodak Moments" @ 81st "OSCARS"

I am not at all a 'fan follower' of any 'Award' ceremony. This has nothing to do with my frustration for not even bagging a 'consolation' prize through my 'Academic' years. However as a 'normal Indian' who will never tire of admiring the "HOLLYWOOD"..I decided to be one among the millions of Indians, who would have sat through this morning in front of their TV set watching 'live' the 81st Oscar Award Ceremony being held '7' seas away at city of "LOS ANGELES". The glitzy surrounds at the "Kodak" theater never for a moment gave me any feel of a "Recessioned America". 'Recession' or 'Slum.?.'p' the glitter & shows goes on, be it Hollywood or our own "Bollywood". Talking of awards, "Slumdog Millionaire" bagging 8 awards does not excite me.I know most of my 'fellow Indians' may absolutely remain 'disagreed' with me on that. To me "

'No'.. "British Mambo Jambo"!

We know every 'dog' has his 'day'.But the dog I am writing about is something special. Awards after awards are pouring cats & dogs' on this 'Dog' ever since it was unleashed. Now believe me I am not referring to any 'Dog Show'. You guessed it right I am talking about 'Slum dog Millionaire' which is all set to walk the 'Red Carpet' this Sunday at the 81st Oscar award ceremony at "Kodak Theater" Los Angeles. Is "Slum dog Millionaire" a 'masterpiece'?. Now I am not qualified to make that statement. After all you need a 'master' to be 'his Master's voice'. As an average Indian movie goer I did find it good in the usual way.It did have some patches of "SATYA" and "BLACK FRIDAY"..but never carried the intensity and depth of those movies. I am not offended like Bollywood's big 'B' for its glorifying the slums & poverty of India. I do know for sure such sl

'Neta-Fobia'..'Jai Ho'...!

Dear ‘Neta Bhai'...You may not know me, but I know you very well. I still remember your visiting my door steps some 5 years ago... and greeting me with folded “Hands” and big 'teethy' smile... I know how excited I was when I heard your election speeches...that promised "Roti,Kapadda aur Makkan". I became an active member of your electioneering campaign.Through out the campaign..I found myself running behind your "Rath Yatras …shouting slogan like “Hamare 'NETA' Jindabad”,"Hamare "Neta"..Sab Ke Datta.. etc etc. How can I forget your election victory celebration....since it was an exclusive 'partying'...I remained a 'left out'. I heard it was very very 'lavish' & boisterous. Then there was a 'Janta Dharshan' organized by your Party. I was there moving through the long “Q” with folded hands for your 'Dharshan'.You were sitting there on that 'king' size throne…specially made for the occasi

'TeamWork'...what an idea ! SirJi..!!!!

Oh.."NoJi" .....'teamwork' is never an "idea" ...it is simply 'action'.when.. "like minded" people join in for actioning a defined 'agenda' for achieving individual goals..that will be rewarding & mutually profitable. This is 'true'..and that is "Satyam" in Sanskrit. Such coming 'together' with a common intent always makes 'impossible' a possible 'deliverable'.In corporate parlance this is called "Management by Objective". By the way did you know "ethics" never enter the"Board Room". This gives a privilege to the 'members' of the "Board", their associated 'committee' and the so called statutory "watch dogs" to remain unscrupulous in all their 'transactions'. Well, well... don't start scratching your head ..I have this nasty habit of never able to come to the 'point' without beating around the 'bush&

"Towering...Optimism"...is that so.?.....

Image
The 'gone' 'year' and the 'gone by' years may have made "terrorism" a 'towering inferno'...yet the zest to be 'alive' and be around in a 'terror free' world runs high within us...I call this the "Towering Optimism". I am a normal middle class mortal..and remain happy enough to stay high on 'hopes'.. picking up optimism in my life... and I will not call this "Towering Optimism".This is my way of looking at life as it lasts... I have greyed my hair trying to own a Maruti 800...but still I have not given up my idea of buying a "Ferrari". I still run into calculation errors...every time I plan a vacation for my 'family' even... if it is... just about a train journey. However I don't take this as a set back to my plans for a "cruise" vacation for my family. I have never received an opportunity to attend any of those Indian..... "Fat Wedding"..still I am confident of
