Politics is rarely beautiful but in India today it is much more uglier than we ever thought so. KARNATAKA state in southern India is today a poll bound state. It will be going to polls on 12th of May to  elect 224 MLAs. This state is currently ruled by Congress and her allies. "Adopt a Monument" is a  govt scheme under tourism dept. The idea was was first mooted in year 2001 under PM Vajpai's  govt. However it was subsequently taken up by Congress govt and they did go with Ratan Tata adopting Taj Mahal.
