Reading between the Political line.....
The Karnataka electioneering campaign was one of the worst seen in recent times . Our political parties continue to keep weaving political issue out of cast and religion In the recent political campaigning in Karnataka it was ligayate, hindutva and Dalit issues that kept the political vocal cords most aggressive unmindful of the disgusting level it touched.
It is a common sense that for our National Media , standing independent is never a sutainable business model . So they by default remain a sold out political venture. Paid media is what is generally they are know as . The poll result for Karnataka will be out on 15th so let us not go by the media debate that promises to keep our national viewers shifting their political opinions.
We all know that a BJP win in Karnataka will help this political party to open their account in Tamil Nadu and Kerala In case Modi and his BJP is able to build an inroad into Southern states they will become the most political superpower in the country. They will thus eventually monopolize the upper house of our parliament ( Rajya Sabha) I mean. This will give them clout enough to pass any bills they like and they may even go to the extent of amending our Constitution to read India as a Hindutava State. In spite of being a Hindu I and many others like me may not like to feel proud of it because we still respect the fabric of secularism For us every religion including Hinduava is equally sacrosanct.
Bangalore is the capital of Karnataka and incidentally it is also the intellectual capital of India. The civic body and infrastructure in Bangalore continues to be in a mess yet it is hoped to emerge as the Silicon valley of this planet in a decade or two. The Bangalorians therefore are able to fend for themselves in spite of political apathy and corruption. So I don't think people of Karnataka will go in for a political change but then you never know. Well will it be for them a better option to retain a known political crook than endure an unknown political crook for the next 5 years?
In politics you never know what hits you when you turn your neck . Of course we will have to wait till Wednesday to know how stiff necked are Karnataka voters ? Till then hail Hitler!
