We may claim of best medical facilities yet everyone  of our  politicians and the members of our affluent  elites fly away to America for their medical treatments  Except for Indian movies ,Indian music and indian culinary, we remain fascinated by everything that is America. The Indian settlers in America may not ordinarly talk  and  take pride of their Indian lineage and heritage, but  when it comes to ballot harveting they will never tire talking and boasting about their India connect. This Bihar election is the first major election since the Covid 19 pandamic disrupted the political calender and prompted sweeping measures for social distencing. The three Phase Bihar Poll for 243 Vidhan Sabha seats was completed on the 7th. The turnout for the poll as per media report was 58%. Today is the vote counting day. Politics is rarely beautiful but in India today it is much more uglier than we ever thought so. KARNATAKA state in southern India is today a poll bound state. It will be going to polls on 12th of May to  elect 224 MLAs. This state is currently ruled by Congress and her allies. BJP and Modi being in the center of POWER in India today are desperately looking forward to take away the reigns from Congress. In spite of Modi's  global popularity, the BJP has so far not been able to make her grand political entry  into South like it has done almost the entire of  North ,West and to some extent EAST. The only time when the politicians remain totally united is when either the Parliament or the State Assembly has to give approval to MPs and MLAs salary hikes,or rising their allowances and other perks.Otherwise pulling at each other remain their everyday need .Eventually it is the  election time when they are at their "malicing best". Ten States this year will be going to the polls. From this month to end of March, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab,Goa Uttarakhand and Manipur will witness massive political jamboree. I was a 11 year old kid then and I am talking of 1960, the year we had shifted to Delhi from Bangalore.
