Who will win BIHAR .. 'Let the last Vote get counted'

This Bihar election is the first major election since the Covid 19 pandamic disrupted the political
calender and prompted sweeping measures for social distencing. The three Phase Bihar Poll for 243 Vidhan Sabha seats was completed on the 7th. The turnout for the poll as per media report was 58%. Today is the vote counting day. By the time the sun sets today , the dawn  of the next political regime in the State will emerge. Will this dawn usher in a new political 'don' or  the "Sarkar Raj" will continue  with  their  "All is Well " narrative for another 4 years.

Will PM Modi, the over used "trump card" political campainer for NDA  be able  to push  back JDU- BJP led alliance once again into rulling Bihar for another four year terms or will he   concede defeat without playing and  crying foul.  Well whatever be the outcome of today's polling verdict, the politics of vendetta and vilifying the  poor will continue.

The problem of unemployment, the plight of farmers, the reverse  exodus of migrant labourers together with booming crime rate and  its growing political nexus has taken away even the bare economic diginity of the common man in Bihar. This State as always  in everyway stands as an illusteration of India's demographic disaster.  PM Modi in all his electioneering campaign kept talking of the 15 years of "junggle Raj" in the State before the NDA era  but  never spoke anything about  the last 15 years of "jungglee Raj" in th State . However as usual  his political rants on  Nationalisim, Article 370 and Phullwama remaind unstoppable.

Tejashwi Yadav is  the 31 year old CM candidate projected by the RJD led Maha-Ghattbandagan, .whereas in the NDA and JDU  led alliance  the CM Nitish Kumar neither gets mentioned as   CM candidate nor figures in any of the Party's bill boards and posters that looks like creepers spread all over  Patna.

Elections and political campaigning have today  become the survivial kit for our Democracy but Social justice, the soul  of our Democracy  remains  reduced to  academics  that get discussed and debated over our National Media.

Well all said by the close of the day today, as scheduled we will know who  Bihar  will pick up to rule the State for the  next 4 years .Going by the trend it will  be the "YOUTH" but then you never know till the last vote get counted

But 'PAPU' Can "Vote"...'Sala'..!

"Sala".. is a generally accepted slang for both 'hum' the "Hindustani" and 'tum' the "Indian". Together this "HUM TUM" make the "Aam Admi"of the world's largest 'democracy'. This is our "INDIA".I agree with the TV ad that almost says "My India Strongest" in spite of the "Everest" of issues that surround her. Normally in this country the fate of the 'ordinary' people ie 'Aam Admi' always remain woefully harassed, pushed and frustrated through the year. However at the close every 5 years this 'Aam Admi' suddenly become extraordinarily powerful and remain wooed by all 'big, small and sundry' political parties of the country. Yes it is time for General Election. In the coming months for the 15th Lok Sabha, 714 million eligible voters would be 'bee lining' to the ballot boxes across 29 states,6 union territories to elect 543 members . 'Jaago-...

In conversation with Bapu....

With 'Sare Jahan Se Achcha' and 'Abide with Me'the Soul-stirring martial tunes and solemn drum beats at the majestic Raisina Hills the "Beating the Retreat" ceremony marked the conclusion of the week long ceremonial functions of India celebrating her 62nd year of Republic. As the illumination lit up the edifices of Imperial India..my thought reached out to that day into the history of independence that finally dropped the curtain on a life called "Gandhi"...the man whose experiment with truth may not have jelled with today but his name has truly become the brand that remain most misused & manipulated both in trade & politics. As I key-in these lines I can read out the conversation that would have transpired between the "soul of Nation" (SON) and "Mahatma Gandhi"(Bapu)....Read on what I read..... SON: Bapu it's me,are you sleeping....? BAPU: How can you ask that...don't you know this day in the year 1948..I was gu...

My expiriment with "TRUTH"..

It was today but the year was 1981 and the day was probably a Saturday. I was there on the ceremonial stretch of "Raj path".There were about 4 lac people like me "all excited", getting ready for the "action shot" for Richard Atendbrough's film "GANDHI". The scene was Gandhiji's "funeral procession".I was wearing white khadi "Pajama & Kurta" which I bought from Khadi gram udyog at 'Regal building the previous evening. This was the recommended "dress code" for the shoot. Probably I never thought then that I was about to be part of a "live action crowd" of this magnitude that will never again be filmed. Soon the heavy camera's parked on the cranes started rolling. I lost the count of how many times those giant like cameras zoomed in and zoomed out of me. I was simply emotionally charged walking the stretch shouting "Vande Matram","Mahatma Gandhi" "AmarRahe"...
