M C D Election..2017

It was Deepak Chopra who said 'when you make a choice you change the future' but I am not very sure if that proves true in the coming Delhi civic poll. This time when you press a particular labelled button on the "Electronic Voting Machine" , it will be more to keep alive Democracy than making a choice between "good, bad and ugly". Civic bodies are good notion nothing more.  MCD is a politically accepted  den for corruption and the fact that  BJP  is ruling it for a decade does not make it any better.

Since Anna Hazare started his war against corruption , all the political parties have become self acclaimed Anti-corruption institutions . However it is a living fact that CORRUPTION  today has become the very DNA of politics in the country . The quantum of corruption that can be attributed to a particular political party will always remain in direct proportion to the  power and influence  that it can garner, nationally, regionally or locally. So political parties in the country can only be classified as 'less corrupt', 'more corrupt' ,   'most corrupt',  but  never  'not corrupt'. That is how we come to  say  that the Congress is the most corrupt political party in the country followed by BJP . Incidentally these are the two political parties which have been taking turns in ruling the MCD since it was established by an act of Parliament  on 7th of April 1958 . There is no guessing  on how much of CORRUPTION  these political parties are sitting on.   Lets move on....

'AAM ADMI' is a political party that has come to become a serious political threat to both BJP and Congress and that too in the shortest span of time and that is extremely commendable . This party is the by product of the 'War Against Corruption'  a social movement that was launched by Anna Hazari at Delhi's  Jantar Mantar in 2011.  Since it was born against the wishes of Anna Hazari , sarcastically speaking it is the illegitimate  child  conceived from the ashes of 'War Against Corruption'. However as  I write this there has surfaced  plenty of corruption charges against this party , some  proved  some remain work in progress . Well  this party is definitely  in a  mad rush  to beat both Congress and the  BJP

In this MCD election there are 272 seats out there to be won .  Besides the above political parties there are couple of more  regional level parties which  will be fielding their candidates. The Municipal Corporations in India  are in general considered as hallmark for bribery . So whichever party comes into power is bound  to strike  GOLD  but  we the people will continue to remain   their  "Golden Goose"...Hail Democracy!

MY MODISTORY

I am one among 900  million plus    "nuts and bolts" of our  Democracy , who   become "faceless" faces in the crowd after  every 5 years.  Year 2014 election was in every sense historic It was beyond doubt a landslide victory for BJP and the beginning of  the so called "MODI" Raj  In year 2014 my reason and my josh for  casting my vote for  BJP was "Modi". His speeches were "sparkling confidence" that set ablaze the confidence of  the nation that was trying to rise up from the cesspool of corruption   Looking back now after 11 years I realise that year 2014 was also  the beginning of era called   "Political Branding" that would  covert  a "politician" into a larger than life  "Mega Leader" Perhaps that is the reason that today in politics "anti-incumbency" does not matter at all . Here are  in brief  a Common man's  bunch of thoughts on "Modi Story". These ...
