"Towering...Optimism"...is that so.?.....

The 'gone' 'year' and the 'gone by' years may have made "terrorism" a
'towering inferno'...yet the zest to be 'alive' and be around in a 'terror free' world runs high within us...I call this the "Towering Optimism".
I am a normal middle class mortal..and remain happy enough to stay high on 'hopes'.. picking up optimism in my life... and I will not call this "Towering Optimism".This is my way of looking at life as it lasts...
I have greyed my hair trying to own a Maruti 800...but still I have not given up my idea of buying a "Ferrari".
I still run into calculation errors...every time I plan a vacation for my 'family' even... if it is... just about a train journey. However I don't take this as a set back to my plans for a "cruise" vacation for my family.
I have never received an opportunity to attend any of those Indian.....
"Fat Wedding"..still I am confident of an invitation for "RahulGandhi's" wedding as and when that happens.
The 'economic slowdown' may put me from bench to beach..but I have not given up the 'hope' of joining the Board of "Microsoft"
I am almost bending like "Beckham" coping with the cost of living...but my....
"Things To Do" still has this 'task' on priority...
....take wife to..... "Dubai shopping festival"
This 'body' and this 'age' may look a "perfect combination" for 'getting' into ..
.."Godly Services"...but this "old Monk" will remain 'spirited' enough.. for getting into that six pacs.."abs"..'body & soul'..&.this again is no "towering optimism".... just 'my' way of saying "YES" to "LIFE"

In conversation with Bapu....

With 'Sare Jahan Se Achcha' and 'Abide with Me'the Soul-stirring martial tunes and solemn drum beats at the majestic Raisina Hills the "Beating the Retreat" ceremony marked the conclusion of the week long ceremonial functions of India celebrating her 62nd year of Republic. As the illumination lit up the edifices of Imperial India..my thought reached out to that day into the history of independence that finally dropped the curtain on a life called "Gandhi"...the man whose experiment with truth may not have jelled with today but his name has truly become the brand that remain most misused & manipulated both in trade & politics. As I key-in these lines I can read out the conversation that would have transpired between the "soul of Nation" (SON) and "Mahatma Gandhi"(Bapu)....Read on what I read..... SON: Bapu it's me,are you sleeping....? BAPU: How can you ask that...don't you know this day in the year 1948..I was gu...

But 'PAPU' Can "Vote"...'Sala'..!

"Sala".. is a generally accepted slang for both 'hum' the "Hindustani" and 'tum' the "Indian". Together this "HUM TUM" make the "Aam Admi"of the world's largest 'democracy'. This is our "INDIA".I agree with the TV ad that almost says "My India Strongest" in spite of the "Everest" of issues that surround her. Normally in this country the fate of the 'ordinary' people ie 'Aam Admi' always remain woefully harassed, pushed and frustrated through the year. However at the close every 5 years this 'Aam Admi' suddenly become extraordinarily powerful and remain wooed by all 'big, small and sundry' political parties of the country. Yes it is time for General Election. In the coming months for the 15th Lok Sabha, 714 million eligible voters would be 'bee lining' to the ballot boxes across 29 states,6 union territories to elect 543 members . 'Jaago-...

My expiriment with "TRUTH"..

It was today but the year was 1981 and the day was probably a Saturday. I was there on the ceremonial stretch of "Raj path".There were about 4 lac people like me "all excited", getting ready for the "action shot" for Richard Atendbrough's film "GANDHI". The scene was Gandhiji's "funeral procession".I was wearing white khadi "Pajama & Kurta" which I bought from Khadi gram udyog at 'Regal building the previous evening. This was the recommended "dress code" for the shoot. Probably I never thought then that I was about to be part of a "live action crowd" of this magnitude that will never again be filmed. Soon the heavy camera's parked on the cranes started rolling. I lost the count of how many times those giant like cameras zoomed in and zoomed out of me. I was simply emotionally charged walking the stretch shouting "Vande Matram","Mahatma Gandhi" "AmarRahe"...
