The ....' HEROINE'.....

She comes from a lower middle class family. She lost her father at a very young age. In spite of her family's economic struggles, she determined to pursue her education. She not only graduated but also  mastered in Islamic History. She has proved that a will can always open up ways. It was more of hindsight than planning that found her  hitting the political turf...rest is a living history of a woman who is daringly ambitious and  unpredictably wavering . She could throw a googly without aiming. She  could also spin away from her stand more on presumptions than on principles. She is one rare lady who on 'opportunity calling' can walk back even from a point of no return. For her affordability, is a non issue yet she will never switch from cotton to silk nor she will replace her jholla for Gucci bags. She is the queen of India's collusion politics.Like the queen on the chess board, she can move into any directions and if need, can be back to Square1. She is not a

In India today Politics  has not only become too chaotic and unpredictable, it has also become the vital  culprit  in de-railing the train of  reforms and progress. Just for political sake much needed economic and social reforms in the country are being thrown off the track. Taking steam off the growth engine has become a norm with political leaders. This is a clear indicator that in this country politicians will always thrive and drain the economy for the sake of politics and at the cost progress and reforms. I have always held West Bengal as the mecca of most learned and forward looking intelligentsia. It is therefore more saddening  to see people of Bengal choosing a leadership which believes a) Every crime and rape in the state is a conspiracy against the state b)  Reading English Daily is being anti-social c)  Caricaturing of political leaders is  belittling gods d)  Studying  Karl Marx  is being anti democratic e)  Industrialization is a crime against poverty  FDI in

We are projected to become world's  most populous country by close of summer of year 2024. Imagine if this event becomes officially a part of the 2024 Summer Olympics, I am sure no power on  earth can stop us then from bagging Gold Medal..not even China. Which means we will be effectively beating China in the number tally. Today we are 1.2 billion strong and a surviving democracy. Fifty percent of us are below 24 years. This makes us a young and youthful India.  However the youth here continues to remain on a vibrating mode and thus are left unheard and  and unattended. This is the irony of a country which once upon a time was a home for  great  patriots like Saheed Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad to name  a few. This perhaps is also  a major reason for India for  being desperately poor in spite remaining modernized in many fields. Half of our children below 5 years keep dying of malnutrition  as millions of tonnes of grain and wheat keep rotting in summer heat and monsoon

I call this...beauty of Life!

When  I look at the complete crop of grayed hair sitting on my receding hairline, I don't feel the cramp of old age. I never care to sit down and get some weight off my feet. I am just fine being me. I simply hate  to  go through  SWOT analyzing  the self and remain pretending a full grown professional. I know I am  simply a home spun ordinary man and a face book that anyone can read Happily I don't care to keep a count on 'like&dislike clicks'  Most often I am not quite enabled  to pretend  happiness seeing people,  whom I knew to be duds climbing up the professional ladder with all ease and no strain. This quite often makes me go mad.  I feel duped and keep regretting looking back at my professional career path. Things like this take  time to get off my head. Add to this a discomforting economy and a sinking civic environment also keeps me grumbling and fuming. I know this is no life OK for me. I should not keep grumbling and keep listing my regrets. Being a

If India is young @  65  why should I be called an old man @ 63 but I can't do anything about it because half of our population is less than 26 and that is a happy and cheerful note and sure makes us world's most enviable potential. If this precious human resources are tapped and developed in a positive way , there is no denying that 21st century will be ours  for asking. Sadly our great parliamentary democracy has neither the will nor vision to tap this gushing energy. Our National day celebrations remains  reduced to  rituals of pretending patriotism. These are the events which  our Presidents and Prime Ministers use to brag about the 'Freedom struggle. They take this opportunity to talk of Nehru's vision and Gandhi's Stewardship and then leave behind trail of  promises for growth development and wellness. Sixty five  years of talks and promises have passed yet we don't see any sweeping changes. Be it the economy, be it the infrastructure or be it t

A Nation of obsolete 'Majority'.....

Our winning the  freedom at midnight, the religious intolerance that followed and the aftermath massacre never left any imprint of wisdom in our national political leaders. With passage of time this intolerance became the trump card for our politicians to win elections. Today it has become a political  bank for every politician to operate their electioneering account. This could be a pre-thinking that went behind in declaring India a Secular 'Nation'. The Nation moved on so did the time and gradually political bankruptcy followed. Thanks to the magnanimity of our parliamentary democracy.Today as we gear up for celebrating the 65th year of our independence, all that we see around us is a vast community of spondilized and vandalized political parties and politicians. How can we expect  a Non demanding association  (NDA) or an Utterly puncher ed association (UPA) of political  bodies to steer clear  the nation from an economy that is drowning and a crime graph that is mou
