A bug..called ."mamta-.di"!

In India today Politics  has not only become too chaotic and unpredictable, it has also become the vital  culprit  in de-railing the train of  reforms and progress. Just for political sake much needed economic and social reforms in the country are being thrown off the track. Taking steam off the growth engine has become a norm with political leaders. This is a clear indicator that in this country politicians will always thrive and drain the economy for the sake of politics and at the cost progress and reforms.

I have always held West Bengal as the mecca of most learned and forward looking intelligentsia. It is therefore more saddening  to see people of Bengal choosing a leadership which believes
a) Every crime and rape in the state is a conspiracy against the state
b)  Reading English Daily is being anti-social
c)  Caricaturing of political leaders is  belittling gods
d)  Studying  Karl Marx  is being anti democratic
e)  Industrialization is a crime against poverty

FDI in Retail if comes true,it can generate employment, nourish the purchasing power of the farmers as well  prevent adulteration of  grains, cereals and food stuff. FDI is a crucial life saving drug  for our ICU ridden Economy. If administrated well, we can see our Economy walking out from the  ICU  on her own  feet hail and hearty. The world today  has become a global village where India is seen as the most vibrant destination for trade and commerce. In  some political circle  FDI  is being seen as a  gateway for  re-launching East India Company. This is a 100% myth. Our politicians have mastered the art of selling such myths to the poor, ignorant s  and illiterates because the politicians know that it is people's illiteracy that nourishes and energies their wealth creation goals.

For some strange reasons I feel sad that West Bengal of today  is no more the 'Bengal which used to think today, what India thinks tomorrow'. Also for some more strange reasons I feel there is something disastrously wrong in the coding of India's national political program . Is it because of a bug..called "mamta-di..!

CLARITY IN CHAOS

The Bhagavad Gita is a living scripture  universally relevant  today as it was 5000 years ago in the battlefield of Kurukshetra. It is a divine conversation that took place in the battlefield of Kurukshetra  between two best  friends, Lord Krishna the Charioteer and Arjuna the warrior.  'Bhagavad Gita' is an integral part of of Indian mythology  I have always believed mythology is not for everyone including me.  So when my friend, the author of the book  "Understanding Bhagavad Gita", gave me a  copy to review , I was not very comfortable.  I like  'Arjuna'  started looking for excuses . However one day not very soon , "The Recipe For A Better Life " the part of the title  hooked me into reading it The author has covered the essence of 'Gita' inside the  160 pages, through   eighteen Chapters.  Every chapter has an "Introduction", a "Summary" and a "Reflection" The simplicity of his writing gives...

MY MODISTORY

I am one among 900  million plus    "nuts and bolts" of our  Democracy , who   become "faceless" faces in the crowd after  every 5 years.  Year 2014 election was in every sense historic It was beyond doubt a landslide victory for BJP and the beginning of  the so called "MODI" Raj  In year 2014 my reason and my josh for  casting my vote for  BJP was "Modi". His speeches were "sparkling confidence" that set ablaze the confidence of  the nation that was trying to rise up from the cesspool of corruption   Looking back now after 11 years I realise that year 2014 was also  the beginning of era called   "Political Branding" that would  covert  a "politician" into a larger than life  "Mega Leader" Perhaps that is the reason that today in politics "anti-incumbency" does not matter at all . Here are  in brief  a Common man's  bunch of thoughts on "Modi Story". These ...
