politics of..bread,butter & Staple diet

We are projected to become world's  most populous country by close of summer of year 2024. Imagine if this event becomes officially a part of the 2024 Summer Olympics, I am sure no power on  earth can stop us then from bagging Gold Medal..not even China. Which means we will be effectively beating China in the number tally.

Today we are 1.2 billion strong and a surviving democracy. Fifty percent of us are below 24 years. This makes us a young and youthful India.  However the youth here continues to remain on a vibrating mode and thus are left unheard and  and unattended. This is the irony of a country which once upon a time was a home for  great  patriots like Saheed Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad to name  a few. This perhaps is also  a major reason for India for  being desperately poor in spite remaining modernized in many fields. Half of our children below 5 years keep dying of malnutrition  as millions of tonnes of grain and wheat keep rotting in summer heat and monsoon rains every year.

Political slogans like 'India Shining', Garibi Hatao'  and 'War against Corruptions' are simply making a parody of Indian democracy. In this country we have no political party, no political organization to unleash a strategy, that can drive out illiteracy and poverty and usher in true  growth for all. There is no dearth for national leadership, yet there hangs a vacuum of vision and determination in both political and bureaucracy fraternity. The reason for this  is that nobody wants to give up and  give away.

The Indian Parliament has emerged as a arena  for freestyle shadow boxing, which is neither refereed nor stopped .Where hitting below the belt is both a norm and a political culture. The sad part is that these big fights are never and never done to defend, protect or keep nourished  the  people who fund to run and maintain this Parliament. This fight is carried on session after session simply to explode opportunities to either to remain or to gain the coveted  seat of being the Custodian of governing  the World's largest Democracy. This  Democracy gives them all a free hand to loot, plunder and prosper at the cost of the people and an economically a bleeding Nation.

Truly "We the People" have become numb in pain to realize that our politicians have made our Democracy, a politics of bread, butter and a staple diet for the self and the family!

A wisely written article esp the reff of shadow boxing used as a metaphor for indian polity.

But I feel we are as much to be blamed for the state of affairs. There is a lack of youth initiative in our democratic system, which is why people like ANNA Hazare Kiran Bedi are so successful in taking us for a ride to fuel their own aspirations .

Cannot blame politicians all the time.
