A Nation of obsolete 'Majority'.....

Our winning the  freedom at midnight, the religious intolerance that followed and the aftermath massacre never left any imprint of wisdom in our national political leaders. With passage of time this intolerance became the trump card for our politicians to win elections. Today it has become a political  bank for every politician to operate their electioneering account. This could be a pre-thinking that went behind in declaring India a Secular 'Nation'. The Nation moved on so did the time and gradually political bankruptcy followed.

Thanks to the magnanimity of our parliamentary democracy.Today as we gear up for celebrating the 65th year of our independence, all that we see around us is a vast community of spondilized and vandalized political parties and politicians. How can we expect  a Non demanding association  (NDA) or an Utterly puncher ed association (UPA) of political  bodies to steer clear  the nation from an economy that is drowning and a crime graph that is mounting the peak. For sure  the current political parties in circulation are not bankable to  deliver the country from inevitable bankruptcy and neither deliver the nation from making the minority an inevitable necessity at the cost of majority. Let us learn from our neighbors to respect the majority but let us not advocate their ill treatment of minority.

I have never been an Anna supporter nor I ever hold a faith in  winning  a war against corruption. Corruption has now become an integral part of the world economy.  I do understand that a fight for a social cause is a start point for paving ground for an entry into politics. I am not therefore surprised by Anna and  his team moving into politics. I strongly feel we need to support Anna Kejriwal team in the upcoming local poll as well  in the next general elections. When we know that we are in a  worst political scenario, it is worth gambling on a nave political party hoping it  will  give priority to all without disrespecting the majority.

When all the  Muslim countries across the globe  are turning Islamic, why should we remain a Secular nation. It is time our democracy DE-learns to muscle up a few at the cost of many.
For God sake let us get away from being called a Nation of  obsolete  'Majority'...

MY MODISTORY

I am one among 900  million plus    "nuts and bolts" of our  Democracy , who   become "faceless" faces in the crowd after  every 5 years.  Year 2014 election was in every sense historic It was beyond doubt a landslide victory for BJP and the beginning of  the so called "MODI" Raj  In year 2014 my reason and my josh for  casting my vote for  BJP was "Modi". His speeches were "sparkling confidence" that set ablaze the confidence of  the nation that was trying to rise up from the cesspool of corruption   Looking back now after 11 years I realise that year 2014 was also  the beginning of era called   "Political Branding" that would  covert  a "politician" into a larger than life  "Mega Leader" Perhaps that is the reason that today in politics "anti-incumbency" does not matter at all . Here are  in brief  a Common man's  bunch of thoughts on "Modi Story". These ...

CLARITY IN CHAOS

The Bhagavad Gita is a living scripture  universally relevant  today as it was 5000 years ago in the battlefield of Kurukshetra. It is a divine conversation that took place in the battlefield of Kurukshetra  between two best  friends, Lord Krishna the Charioteer and Arjuna the warrior.  'Bhagavad Gita' is an integral part of of Indian mythology  I have always believed mythology is not for everyone including me.  So when my friend, the author of the book  "Understanding Bhagavad Gita", gave me a  copy to review , I was not very comfortable.  I like  'Arjuna'  started looking for excuses . However one day not very soon , "The Recipe For A Better Life " the part of the title  hooked me into reading it The author has covered the essence of 'Gita' inside the  160 pages, through   eighteen Chapters.  Every chapter has an "Introduction", a "Summary" and a "Reflection" The simplicity of his writing gives...
