Being pessimist..?

The ordinary people spread across 28 states and seven union territories do definitely go through some linguistic & cultural pressure in communicating. However such pressures doesn't change the way they fight to cope up with their everyday struggles for existence. They continue to walk their life, dreaming their hope and drumming their little happiness celebrating festivals and rejoicing their hypocrisy by placing politicians and god men on the pedestals of the very creators. Tomorrow my city Delhi will be ready for Ram Dev Baba's grandeur 'hunger strike', splurging money power and the showmanship of hypocrisy. The venue "Ramlila ground" which has been for ages trying to burn the effigy of "Ravana"will once again fail to stop of the birth of yet another political movement that promises to hoodwink the people almost the way "Ravana" in "Ramayana" took away Sita.. Though being one among the ordinary, I don

Our democratically elected political leaders have proved themselves both as individuals and as cabinet, a colossal error of the electorates.. The party in power should have long back perished for non performance. However they are still very much around broking power and hogging lime light. The credit for this should go to none other than the opposition parties in our parliament which continue to pretend to deliver in spite of knowing its impotency. India today is truly becoming a frustrating scenario of governance & the governed. Being an 'Aam Aadmi' the best way to vent my frustration has always been vandalizing public properties, burning buses and aimlessly throwing stones and finally finding myself sighing & seething with pain lying on the corridors of some govt hospitals with slinged legs & fractured skull waiting to hog some media lime light. You know at times I wonder where this ferocity of city's police force disappear when it comes to hand

The SEAL team 6, from Abbottabad in Pakistan were busy radioing "Geronimo E-KIA,"(enemy killed in action)....when 'Osama Bin Laden' found himself walking the vast expanse of emptiness millions of miles away from the cozy comforts of 'Abbottabad' Walking through the hazy & clouded emptiness he spotted a frail bespectacled figure standing away from him holding a stick that was almost reaching his shoulder level. Osama found the face very familiar. Yes it was the face of Gandhi, that he was so used to seeing in all the Indian currency notes that his organization 'Al Qaeda' kept importing & re exporting along with other international currencies to keep alive the cause of his 'Jihhad'. Now this is what transpired between OSAMA & GANDHI as they came face to face.... Osama : So you are Mahatma Gandhi.. Gandhi : Please call me simply 'Atma' Gandhi or just Gandhi will do. ' Osama : I am 'Osama Bin Laden. Just tr

India is running 64 and still she is being addressed as 'young nation'. I am just running 62 and my 'young nation' is all in hurry to hand me a "life term achievement award" by prefixing senior citizen to my name. The job market now has suddenly started overlooking my professional expertise and becoming more fussy about my being 62. Well anyway I don't pity myself for being around all the wonderful years and still remain all excited going on white water river rafting and enjoying MTV bouts. I am happy taking those big strides and large leaps growing my wisdom. Anyway I am not here to win my war for "Cheeni Kum" movement. I am here for waring my reasons for war against corruption. I do support & believe in "War against corruption" that's why I allowed myself to soak away in the sun at Jantar mantar. However now when I am reading the clauses of draft writing of the Lok Pal bill , I am not very sure if thi

That's America...

It is here stands the great statue of Liberty enlightening the world. Yet there are millions of people around the world who love to hate this country but there are also billions of others around the world who would love to live here. That's America one country across the Atlantic that I would like to visit at least once in my life time. More than Hollywood, Las Vegas and those wild west flock lores what I admire most about America is that, no matter from which nation you hail, no matter which religion or faith you belong to, you have the true freedom from any kind of discrimination. All that matters here is that you belong to America and you are an American. 9/11 terror attack in New York took massive toll of human lives. It shook the world, so also 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai took precious human lives. It shook the world too... Post 9/11 saw America fortifying her security as well untiringly going all out trailing and tracking the perpators of the terror attack without

When it comes to mannerism , I may be a bit of American but never any bit a 'Brit'. Thank God I belong to the post independent generation. May be that's why it took me a while this afternoon to register the 'Union Jack" wavers. I was watching the great 'Royal wedding' from the comforts of my drawing room. I don't know why no Indian was part of the 1900 invitees to the Royal wedding. Being an Indian that includes me too... Anyway I hate to wear stiff neck and sport those Windsor knot. All the more I know I will feel claustrophobic in the motley crowd of floating hat less male heads walking hand in hand with those snobby women wearing all those funny hats. Truly aristocracy is something that you should be born with. You just can't cultivate those mannerism and stiff lip attitudes. Watching today the British Royal wedding did make me realize that nobody can out snob the members of "House of Windsor". House of Windsor is the off

When India won her freedom from the British, there was overwhelming emotional excitement among the people. Every Indian in the nook& corner of free India was full of dreams for this brand new India. Every Indian was optimist of seeing Tagore's" "Geetaanjli" (written in 1912) shaping up under the fire brand leadership of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Such optimism drained out very soon. The head beneath the Gandhi caps of our politicians in republic India now remained more occupied scheming moves and movements that could help them exhibiting , power & wealth and allow them to use their newly acquired political acumen for furthering a rule of dynasty to keep exploiting the credibility of the people... For these political leaders, people and the country took the back seat in their scheme of things for the progress & development of free Independent India. Every politician independently & collectively started splurging wealth pow
