That's America...

It is here stands the great statue of Liberty enlightening the world. Yet there are millions of people around the world who love to hate this country but there are also billions of others around the world who would love to live here. That's America one country across the Atlantic that I would like to visit at least once in my life time.

More than Hollywood, Las Vegas and those wild west flock lores what I admire most about America is that, no matter from which nation you hail, no matter which religion or faith you belong to, you have the true freedom from any kind of discrimination. All that matters here is that you belong to America and you are an American.

9/11 terror attack in New York took massive toll of human lives. It shook the world, so also 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai took precious human lives. It shook the world too...

Post 9/11 saw America fortifying her security as well untiringly going all out trailing and tracking the perpators of the terror attack without wasting time in politicking & public debating the tragedy. Eventually after a decade of chase they were able to trace Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.

To-day Osama Bin Laden fell to the hail of American bullets. The end of Osama Bin Laden may be the beginning of "Osamissm" which can be debated. However today it is killing of Osama Bin Laden that truly remains in every way a true tribute to people of America who lost their lives on that day in New York. This is reason enough for every American to be proud of their Democracy...

Back home our Govt caught alive 'Ajmal Kassab' the one of the ten terrorist who bloodied Mumbai, on that fateful day of 26/11. Instead of hanging him by neck in public our politicians and bureaucrats are even after 3 years today still continue to bat for his health & well being at Arthur Road prison. The irony is that we the people and the victims of this Democracy are funding for his up keepings....

Well if Democracy can remain a soothing balm for ordinary people, in one country it can also become a devil for the same ordinary people in another country. It is not the 'Atlantic' or the 'Indian' ocean that nurture Democracy, it is simply the quality of governance that does it. Now for that I give it 100% to the oldest Democracy in the world ...That's America...
