Let's give weight to our 'class'....

Neither here nor there , yet we remain the main thrust in pushing the consumer sale for every thing from TV to Hatchback. If Indigo and Spice Jets are making money,it is because we have become their frequent travelers  Even brands like "Tanishq" has come to respect our presence. We may be irrelevant for the politicians, but we matter the most for growth and health of the exchequer..

We may still not be ready for taking those ocean cruise but thanks to those Holiday packages we do are affording once in a while a Macao and Mauritius vacations.

We are no more ignored Banking Customers. We have now become the bread and butter of retail banking products like personal loans, Car loans and Home loans .  If SaS Aur  Bahu TV serials are able to make it to 1000 episodes, it is because of our viewership  If advt. agency is able to save paying a 50 odd corers to Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar for a bike advt. shoot, it is because we are able to replace him realistically.

We are great arm chair critics  because we shy away going to the streets to fight our cause. We have our own woes which are getting worse and worse with every passing of the year. We are not perturbed by our govt mishandling our welfare, health care  and safety but we  are very vocal about Lok Pal and Corruption. Let us accept we are great followers but  not leaders. We hate politics only because we have no insiders to adopt us.

If the last census has not under counted us there are roughly 350 million of us today ...busy lighting the mud lamps and bursting the crackers right through  the Midnight....We are happy  to never say NO to CRACKERS.....

You guessed it right......We are the great Indian Middle class....and its time for us to give weight to our class....HAPPY DIWALI!

MY MODISTORY

I am one among 900  million plus    "nuts and bolts" of our  Democracy , who   become "faceless" faces in the crowd after  every 5 years.  Year 2014 election was in every sense historic It was beyond doubt a landslide victory for BJP and the beginning of  the so called "MODI" Raj  In year 2014 my reason and my josh for  casting my vote for  BJP was "Modi". His speeches were "sparkling confidence" that set ablaze the confidence of  the nation that was trying to rise up from the cesspool of corruption   Looking back now after 11 years I realise that year 2014 was also  the beginning of era called   "Political Branding" that would  covert  a "politician" into a larger than life  "Mega Leader" Perhaps that is the reason that today in politics "anti-incumbency" does not matter at all . Here are  in brief  a Common man's  bunch of thoughts on "Modi Story". These ...

CLARITY IN CHAOS

The Bhagavad Gita is a living scripture  universally relevant  today as it was 5000 years ago in the battlefield of Kurukshetra. It is a divine conversation that took place in the battlefield of Kurukshetra  between two best  friends, Lord Krishna the Charioteer and Arjuna the warrior.  'Bhagavad Gita' is an integral part of of Indian mythology  I have always believed mythology is not for everyone including me.  So when my friend, the author of the book  "Understanding Bhagavad Gita", gave me a  copy to review , I was not very comfortable.  I like  'Arjuna'  started looking for excuses . However one day not very soon , "The Recipe For A Better Life " the part of the title  hooked me into reading it The author has covered the essence of 'Gita' inside the  160 pages, through   eighteen Chapters.  Every chapter has an "Introduction", a "Summary" and a "Reflection" The simplicity of his writing gives...
