It’s Time to Move On!

In today’s real time "India" “National symbols”…are not expected to infuse a sense of pride and patriotism in us. They are instead expected to connect to the people of the soil on an “as is where is basis”. I see our national game “Hockey” no where near in achieving this. We are still not able to promote this “game”. This in spite of all those 'symbolic' attempts by media, Bollywood and & government.

”Hockey” is a very energetic game and the basic skill required for playing “Hockey” is the ability to control, pass, push, stop and shoot the ball with your hockey stick. It is both beautiful and impressive to watch a player with good stick handling skills controlling the ball while sprinting the length of the field, or weave through the sticks and legs of defenders to create a chance for shooting at the goal. Playing “Hockey” indeed calls for a lot of stamina and energy. Sadly today none of us have any thing much to contribute to “boost” our energy for “Hockey”. In short this 'National Game' today remains badly muddled in "political poverty" as well 'poverty' in general.

“Cricket” on the other hand has become a religion for us .Today ‘Media’, ‘Bollywood’ and our ‘Government’ is seen all out clamoring for “Cricket”. Every one of us today are contributing our energy, our time and our money in “boosting” Cricket”. Cricketers in our country remain “boosted’ to the hilt with “Money, Glamour & Endorsements" so much so that ‘Energy’ for them is simply an incidental to participate. So let’s vote in “Cricket” and vote out “Hockey” as the “National Game”. After all life is where glamour is. You are right “Mahendra Singh Dhoni” “It’s time to move on..!

Money is where there is success and fame- No one before 1983 looked at India as a cricketing nation-It was only hockey. Today Indian cricket proved its meetle by winning the 1983 world cup- and thats why there is money and fame in it- because we are successful.
A rather good example for this is other sports like chess, tennis or even boxing.

Sponsor's dont care if it's a national sport- Play, win and then see the extent of fame and money which will drive the game- Until then, keep trying.

And for the government's effort- Did that ever exist in any other sport? Then why ask for hockey..!!

MY MODISTORY

I am one among 900  million plus    "nuts and bolts" of our  Democracy , who   become "faceless" faces in the crowd after  every 5 years.  Year 2014 election was in every sense historic It was beyond doubt a landslide victory for BJP and the beginning of  the so called "MODI" Raj  In year 2014 my reason and my josh for  casting my vote for  BJP was "Modi". His speeches were "sparkling confidence" that set ablaze the confidence of  the nation that was trying to rise up from the cesspool of corruption   Looking back now after 11 years I realise that year 2014 was also  the beginning of era called   "Political Branding" that would  covert  a "politician" into a larger than life  "Mega Leader" Perhaps that is the reason that today in politics "anti-incumbency" does not matter at all . Here are  in brief  a Common man's  bunch of thoughts on "Modi Story". These ...

DE LHI Gasping!!

Delhiites have turned   indifferent to the " Toxic Air" that they breath  They have stopped bothering about the "smoke screen " that is keeping away   "Sun light"  from giving them the ray of "HOPE"  to keep their lungs "Sun Shined" . Like "AGE"  for them now  even the  AQI (Air Quality Index) has become a sheer number .They have long since stopped reacting to the AQI  shooting up. They have lost their "JOSH"" to protest for their fundamental right to breath. Delhi is the very seat of the duly elected "POWER".  of  World's largest Democracy  The "custodian" of this Democracy reside here  at   "7 LOK KALYAN"  but remain hardly visible in and around the city This  "custodian"  continues to remain the very "Most"  'Frequent Flier' of our Democracy and  the only  'STAR '  campaigner for the political party that he comes from.    Getting re-elected...
