WHAT IF....
Corruptions, great bungling, rains, floods, dengue and other flues are some of the factors that are working overtime to see that the Commonwealth games does not take off at all. This is one side of the Aam Admi's thought process, the other side is Aam Admi's faith, hope and optimism that believes that in India 'God' always will come to the rescue and ensures "all turns out well. Commonwealth Games therefore is sure to become everything that is success. Now between these two school of thoughts I find stuck with few 'what if' scenarios on the fate of the upcoming commonwealth Games. Here are 3 sample scenarios that makes sense the most.
Scenario No 1...'What if 'Commonwealth' Games takes off on time and becomes a success story : Mr Suresh Kalmadi will be applauded, praised and will overnight be turned into a sort of national hero who in spite of all odds ensures to keep the prestige of India in tact and glowing. Mr Suresh Kalmadi's bungling and siphoning out tax payer's money will take the back seat and eventually all vigilance enquiry and files of evidences against him will get archived. Yes Suresh Kalmadi would have made his day
Scenario No 2...'What if' 'Commonwealth' Games fails to take off because of dengue epidemics & floods : Mr.Suresh Kalmadi will at once seize the opportunity and claim that he fought every odds to ensure 'Commonwealth' games takes off, however he forgot that he was after all an ordinary mortal and could not fight against Gods own wish. He will then shed few tears in public. Eventually with the help of political parties whom he served well, go all out to create a sympathy wave and before the Aam Aadmi' realizes, all the corruption charges against him will get vanished and Suresh Kalmadi will continue his plundering and siphoning the public money in the name of developing sports and building inroads for India's entry into "Olympics"
Scenario No 3...'what if' Commonwealth Games is not able to meet the dead line because of paucity of funds and labour unrest, both of which get attributed to Corruption and looting by Suresh Kalmadi and his gang of thieves. Well there will be a hue and cry,few heads will roll, Mr.Suresh Kalmadi will be proved guilty after a summery trial Mr Suresh Kalmadi will then threaten to play his triumph card that will have enough power load to expose all the political big guns across all national level political parties. The judiciary will then start dragging their political feet. Time will fly and some years after the case will die a natural death, leaving behind bulky files collecting dust in some judiciary library along with Bofors,& Fodders and many more likes. Mr Suresh Kalmadi will get away from public life to enjoy a retired life in splendor and style nursing his various "Swiss" accounts and mansions across Maharashtra and who knows where else...
The conclusion that I draw is what ever be the scenario..in this country Guilty will always go unpunished , whatever be the magnitude of the guilt as long it can be linked to powerful political lobbies. After all it is always the Politicians who in this country remain both 'king Makers' as well 'Eliminators'...so how does it matter...WHAT IF....
