No Magic ..Just a 'Belief"

Alright its been a while since I've wrote anything but I'm back.I just finished reading 'David J.Schwartz's "The Magic Of THINKING BIG".It not only tells you to set your goals high but it also leads you into exceeding it ...through its 337 pages ....it keeps the reader motivated .....at the end of it "The Magic Of Thinking Big" is all about how your perseverance and 'can do' attitude can make your dreams come true...
.......and how true it is.... I just realized as I read the week's News head line that said...."BARACK OBAMA clinches Democrats nomination for the 'White House'.
Barack Obma, an African American and visibly a total stranger to power politics of Washington....to have come this far is a sort of live endorsement to the Book "The Magic of Thinking Big"..
At the time of 9/11 Obama was told his name would probably finish his political career since Obama sounded too similar to Osama...and here he is today on his way to Washington and probably to White House.
I and countless others don't believe that 'failure is impossible, and here we have a person who just proved us wrong.

We don't yet know if Obama's 'The Audacity Of Hope" is going to take him to 'White House' or is it going to make him a 'John Galt' of "Atlas Shrugged
However one thing is certain ...coming days will find the Americans debating on 'Age'& 'Experience', 'Colour & Change' ...while the world will await the final outcome in 'Black & White'.

I was actually wondering where were you after the first entry in the blog.

"Who is John Galt?" actually also sums up the way the average Indian common man sums up and resigns to his rigours of daily life and the fight of survival in current scenario of rising prices and falling moralities, in very much the same way that the phrase becomes an expression of helplessness and despair at the state of the world in Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged.

I hope that your next entry in the blog dwells in the vicinity of the hypocrite society that we live in rather than looking out to the US to quote reflections from life.

None the less, its a pleasure to read through your entries.

Keep Going...!!

Cheers

CLARITY IN CHAOS

The Bhagavad Gita is a living scripture  universally relevant  today as it was 5000 years ago in the battlefield of Kurukshetra. It is a divine conversation that took place in the battlefield of Kurukshetra  between two best  friends, Lord Krishna the Charioteer and Arjuna the warrior.  'Bhagavad Gita' is an integral part of of Indian mythology  I have always believed mythology is not for everyone including me.  So when my friend, the author of the book  "Understanding Bhagavad Gita", gave me a  copy to review , I was not very comfortable.  I like  'Arjuna'  started looking for excuses . However one day not very soon , "The Recipe For A Better Life " the part of the title  hooked me into reading it The author has covered the essence of 'Gita' inside the  160 pages, through   eighteen Chapters.  Every chapter has an "Introduction", a "Summary" and a "Reflection" The simplicity of his writing gives...

In conversation with Bapu....

With 'Sare Jahan Se Achcha' and 'Abide with Me'the Soul-stirring martial tunes and solemn drum beats at the majestic Raisina Hills the "Beating the Retreat" ceremony marked the conclusion of the week long ceremonial functions of India celebrating her 62nd year of Republic. As the illumination lit up the edifices of Imperial India..my thought reached out to that day into the history of independence that finally dropped the curtain on a life called "Gandhi"...the man whose experiment with truth may not have jelled with today but his name has truly become the brand that remain most misused & manipulated both in trade & politics. As I key-in these lines I can read out the conversation that would have transpired between the "soul of Nation" (SON) and "Mahatma Gandhi"(Bapu)....Read on what I read..... SON: Bapu it's me,are you sleeping....? BAPU: How can you ask that...don't you know this day in the year 1948..I was gu...
