My expiriment with "TRUTH"..

It was today but the year was 1981 and the day was probably a Saturday. I was there on the ceremonial stretch of "Raj path".There were about 4 lac people like me "all excited", getting ready for the "action shot" for Richard Atendbrough's film "GANDHI". The scene was Gandhiji's "funeral procession".I was wearing white khadi "Pajama & Kurta" which I bought from Khadi gram udyog at 'Regal building the previous evening. This was the recommended "dress code" for the shoot. Probably I never thought then that I was about to be part of a "live action crowd" of this magnitude that will never again be filmed. Soon the heavy camera's parked on the cranes started rolling. I lost the count of how many times those giant like cameras zoomed in and zoomed out of me. I was simply emotionally charged walking the stretch shouting "Vande Matram","Mahatma Gandhi" "AmarRahe"...

India turns"60"

We are proud to bestow you with the honour of "senior citizenship". Believe me this is no "life time achievement award" because we know we need you till the world lasts. This is simply a token of our humble appreciation and expression of our deep sentiments to say that we "Love You" for your courage, determination and fighting spirit that has led us to become a true "indispensable" India in the "World Today" We know we have still a long way to go to keep and sustain "spirit of unity in diversity". We know it will take us some more "light years" to realise that any kind of discrimination of human life will always remain our stumbling block in creating and retaining a true civilized society. We understand that we cannot afford to individually remain selfish in creating wealth for ourselves. We know if we continue this way, we will never be able to stop the 'invaders' from plundering the "wealth of our nati...

The story of the "Unsold"..!

It looks like I am still in the "Cricket nets". This has nothing at all to do with improving "cricketing techniques. I am just trying to "warm up" to deliver "googly" that I hope will set some reasoning to wipe out the "wrong ones" that is consuming the passions of all on the other side of the "boundary". Every one knows that cricket no more is a gentleman's game. Over the years "OD" matches have taken priority over "Test Cricketing". Now with the emergence of IPL series, "cricketing" has come to become the most highly "staked" business venture. The IPL-3 bidding results is truly hurting and disappointing to all of us "cricket loving" millions across the world. Our sentiments may remain hurt since we will not be able to watch the cool headed "Pakistani" batsman "Misbah-ul-Haq" batting under pressure. We will also miss the privilege of watching the "Boom ...

when "cricketers" go under the hammer..!

Cricket has always been a game of glorious uncertainties. Now it has also become the pitch for glorifying the "auctioning" of the players. In the "historical days" of "slave trading",the poor slaves never enjoyed the privilege of giving their consent to be "sold". Now it is no more so. Thanks to IPL's democracy. Bidding now can never 'take off' as long as the 'players' don't give their individual consent for getting themselves auctioned. It will therefore not be right to blame the "Bollywood biggies" and the business "tycoons" for taking the "Cricket" from the ground inside a "stadium" to a "Dalal's street" in the "commodity market". Cricket still remains a most exiting sport for the commonwealth countries. However with the advent of so called 'professionalism' into cricket,it is sheer Money power that dominates the "caliber and performance...

"Haiti" catastrophe..

The affluent societies across the world always believe that a common man will ever remain crying, cribbing and criticizing. They never will for once try to pause to hear that feeble "heart beats" inside the common man. At this moment the heart of every "common man" is struggling to reach out to those millions,in "Haiti" who remain crushed beneath the heap of concretes. "Haiti" is a small and poor nation situated in the "Caribbean islands. The geographical divide, may or may not enable him to be there with the people of "Haiti" at this hour of grief. However when he offers his prayer today from any corner of the world..cross my heart it will be for those "millions" of "human beings" whose lives stand lost and devastated by this earthquake. I hope and wish that the "elites" in our so called "affluent" society will not wait for the Government's "tax concession" to write a "ch...

"XIX Commonwealth Games" a race for success..!

We are today watching "Connaught Place" the very "Heart" of this city, going through an 'open heart surgery'. We don't yet know how long the 'operation' will last. However what we know is that this "Heart" of Delhi" has to be found "beating healthy" and 'strong' in just about '263' days. The "roads and flyovers" ,the very "Arteries" of this city remain chocked up with anything that has "four wheels and something". We don't yet know if the 'authorities' will be able to make these roads and flyovers "accident free". However what we know is that these "Arteries" has to flow without 'blockade' in just about '263' days. "Transportation" which are the very "limbs" of this 'city', are currently hanging 'loose' on the 'shoulders'. The "low floor" 'DTC' buses are "cat...

No rules, just write !

It will sound perfectly stupid if I said it was President "George W. Bush" who got me into blogging. Had it not been his remark way back in year 2008 about the “classified Indian middle class”……probably today the "score card" of my posts may not have touched two short of 60 as the year 2009 came to a close on 'Thursday' last. I never plan my post. I just write them and remain comfortable about my presence in the 'virtual world'. I am happy every time when some one familiar stumbles into my blog. I am thrilled when occasionally some one becomes generous enough to leave a 'comment' on my post. Most of my learning always comes from these comments. Honestly at the end of the day I sincerely remain thankful to every one who either stumbled into my blog or visited it once in a while to check the updates. My posts in 2008 and 2009 was everything from sweet nothings, to every day challenges of "Aam Aadmi" and from political rubbish to glob...
