Politics of disrobing 'Draupadi'
We are neither perplexed nor paranoid by the political and economic upheaval that this great country is going through. Our Republic may turn 'Banana' so what we are still happy to slip away into our own dreams unlimited. That's what we are...'the mango people'... ripened in poverty , soaked in inflation the only remains of a democracy that is turning rogue and repulsive with every rising 'son'...
Elections are fast becoming a failure of faith and a mandate of empty words and broken trust. Collusion politics collude not for reforms but for rupturing regional and religious sentiments. The political philosophy remains heavily contaminated. As a nation we have seriously run out of thought leadership.
How long should we keep defending our lack of initiative for growth and developments. Simply because we insist that at 63 we are young, cannot absolve us from the guilt of under achieving growth and undermining our potentials. It is time we should have become an emerged economy and not remain an emerging economy.
Be it business, be it bureaucracy, be it politics or be it religion a cause and a case for corruption will always exist. We can't deny that corruption has become the very nut and the bolt of our society. Let us not therefore make the mistake of construing that a war call against corruption, will annihilate corruption from the society.
In a country where all the seasoned politicians and political parties are busy conspiring and conning , the emergence of a man called Arrvind Kejeriwal is very welcome. I heartily endorse his spirited entry into politics. However when there are more just and serious national issues, why he chose corruption as a subject for a political entry is becoming a....?
Corruption is a complex and a crafted subject. Here over reliance of direct as well circumstantial evidences are politically debatable and therefore any fire from the hip and holster are likely to re-bound without warning. It is not the right vehicle to ride on for a political intern such as Arrivind Kejeriwal. Further since he is also an intellectual and well read, I thought he would know that in this country exposing corruption, one after the other is as futile as politics of disrobing 'Draupadi' .
