Cheer up..go for beer up....




Her butt is on fire. She can't take off. Her wings are clipped .She is  grounded .She is off  her strip. Her charms can no more woo the customers .This birdee is bidding time, hanging around the hangers. This is the plight of this Kingfisher ....The man who owns  her is a  taste bud for all the finest  thing in life. He is one of the famed 'bird watching' enthusiast of  par excellence. He knows she is the most colorful of  the Boeing...Boeing tribe...

At 27 inheriting an empire of corporate wealth from his father Vittal Mallya.....he remained on the fast track, that earned him not only a playboy reputation but also got him a tycoon tag. He owns 2 corporate jets,one personalized Boeing 727 ,a collection of Vintage cars, 2 Yachts, and scores of homes and mansions around the world. His personal fortune is around $1.5 billion. His flagship company UB...brews the finest Beer.....that keeps all of us chirpy and cheerful all through the summer weekends. He is a corporate czar . He is a great social  bartender.He has perfected the  art of selling a  right mix of lifestyle to everyone from Politicians to Bankers and from Bureaucrats to Technocrats . No doubt  his proximity to Politicians, Bankers and Bollywood always remain on  a 'touch screen' mode. ..

Today his Account with most of the leading Banks have become a non-performing asset. His debt woes are deeper than visible.His debtors all over are busy reviewing and discussing strategies  to salvage their debts before it turns bad.  However all this does't  lessen his spirit to sore high and touch the sky. For him living good life is living life king size and  he is in no mood to give this up.The authorities may be looking for him but that does't dampen his spirit and search... for his ..2013...calender girls

 This year's ID, DIWALI and  CHRISTMAS may remain dry and cheerless for  his workforce at Kingfisher Airlines,  but that does't leave him  spirit-less . He is right now in top gear cheering-up his "FORCE INDIA" at the F-1 tracks. However it does't make him a bad employer....he loves his workforce as much as he loves his beer.. That's Vijay Mallya for you.....saying sorry to his 4000 salary less employees...

But 'PAPU' Can "Vote"...'Sala'..!

"Sala".. is a generally accepted slang for both 'hum' the "Hindustani" and 'tum' the "Indian". Together this "HUM TUM" make the "Aam Admi"of the world's largest 'democracy'. This is our "INDIA".I agree with the TV ad that almost says "My India Strongest" in spite of the "Everest" of issues that surround her. Normally in this country the fate of the 'ordinary' people ie 'Aam Admi' always remain woefully harassed, pushed and frustrated through the year. My expiriment with "TRUTH"..

It was today but the year was 1981 and the day was probably a Saturday. I was there on the ceremonial stretch of "Raj path".There were about 4 lac people like me "all excited", getting ready for the "action shot" for Richard Atendbrough's film "GANDHI". The scene was Gandhiji's "funeral procession".I was wearing white khadi "Pajama & Kurta" which I bought from Khadi gram udyog at 'Regal building the previous evening. This was the recommended "dress code" for the shoot. Probably I never thought then that I was about to be part of a "live action crowd" of this magnitude that will never again be filmed. Soon the heavy camera's parked on the cranes started rolling. I lost the count of how many times those giant like cameras zoomed in and zoomed out of me. I was simply emotionally charged walking the stretch shouting "Vande Matram","Mahatma Gandhi" "AmarRahe"...
