The IPL saga of “corruption” seems to be not abating. In fact it is becoming a platform for all the “Politicians” other than the political party in power to ‘show case’ and shout about their bonding to “Honesty”. As I key in this post the cacophony and shouts of opportunist politicians are consuming media bytes.
"OD" matches gave cricket a much needed ‘boost; by transforming the game into a one day package of excitement and entertainment. However this thrill and speed soon consumed some great names in international cricketing like Hansie cronje and Bob Woolmer. “Match fixing” became the order of the day as well a 'code of conduct' for the players in the pitch. Soon thereafter the cricketing format went for a major makeover and "Indian Premier League" came into being. IPL a “Lalit Modi” creation was everything about "fuzz, flash and fashion". 'Cricketing' pitch overnight got transformed into a “ramp” where one after the other great names in 'cricketing' went under the hammer. Money, lust for power and roguish arrogance came to rule the game both in and off the pitch. 'Cricket' became more a “stake holder’s” game and less a "team’s" endurance in the field. Money literally started growing on 'trees', 'shrubs' and 'bushes' at the 'backyards' for the "stake holders", their 'associates', and as well for "players" both on and off the field. "IPL" soon became a perfect ‘masala mix’ for the “Bollywood” and naturally so therefore the ”Rajneithi” creeped in making the “IPL” a “Money laundering “Ghat” as well a ‘clandestine’ service counter for our “Indian Political League”. Everything for this “IPL” went with 'right swing', 'good length' and 'perfect deliveries'and kept their "energy level" "boosted". However very soon a "twittering" “Tharoor” and a "foul mouthing" “Lalit Modi” "puked" the "worms". This forced all the "political parties" and "political "big wigs" to 'cover' their ‘back’ and pretend and play 'healthy'and 'ethical' for the ‘”Media”.
We may not like to extend our sympathy to “Lalit Modi”, because he is an established crook as well a shrewd business man who knows how and when to deliver a “googly”
It is however the poor “Tharoor”, who in spite of his 'deep intellect' and an enviable "excellence" in "diplomacy", faulted when it came to showing his affection to some one for whom he knew “his heart beats” little 'faster' than for the rest of his 'world' around. Some one rightly said that when “Heart” decides to “Bat” it is the “Brain” that takes the “Beating”
I am however very clear that saga of “corrupting” "worms" always 'incubates' from the stables of IPL (Indian political League)and Indian premier league is only a 'stop over' not a "destination" for "DE-worming"...
