Walk talk and live our fear

The UPA & NDA along with tattered group of other political bodies remain busy using Democracy and vote banking for their own individual party interest. Neither at her youth nor in her past 60s, our Democracy has ever delivered any national or regional leadership that could rise up from party and politics to fight elements that become a threat to the very integrity and security of the nation. This failure of our democracy has made terrorism a vicious monster that remains fed and pampered for money, power and lust. The perception that terrorism is an off shoot of a religion and a faith is simply a manifestation of vested political interests.

Mumbai has become a preferred target for terrorist attacks.Every one of us believed that Post 26/11, politicians and political parties, will help and work alongside regional and central govt agencies to prevent and save Mumbai from terrorist and terrorism. The last week terror attack that left 21 people killed and many orphaned is the bloody evidence of betrayal of our belief.

Post every terror attack our national TV channels will get to their Air conditioned studios few political personalities along with some highbrow-ed ex civil servants, and to this team they will add few botoxed faces from Bollywood and kick start a mambo jumbo debate on the "whys & what abouts" on terrorism. These shows are nothing more than a 'sign off' media byte of a bloody massacre that will remain archived as reference material for future use .

It is not that we cannot achieve a total annihilation of Terrorism. We have no dearth for resources be it youthful human resources or financial resources. How can funding be an issue in a country where Himalayan size of scams keep surfacing? So all that we need is political will and political unity to initiate process to launch a total war against terrorism.

We don't know how many more terror attacks we will have to endure and survive to see all the political parties in this country holding hands for a fight to finish terror and terrorism..? However the increasing frequency in terror attack has made us to learn...... to walk talk and live our fear.

MY MODISTORY

I am one among 900  million plus    "nuts and bolts" of our  Democracy , who   become "faceless" faces in the crowd after  every 5 years.  Year 2014 election was in every sense historic It was beyond doubt a landslide victory for BJP and the beginning of  the so called "MODI" Raj  In year 2014 my reason and my josh for  casting my vote for  BJP was "Modi". His speeches were "sparkling confidence" that set ablaze the confidence of  the nation that was trying to rise up from the cesspool of corruption   Looking back now after 11 years I realise that year 2014 was also  the beginning of era called   "Political Branding" that would  covert  a "politician" into a larger than life  "Mega Leader" Perhaps that is the reason that today in politics "anti-incumbency" does not matter at all . Here are  in brief  a Common man's  bunch of thoughts on "Modi Story". These ...

CLARITY IN CHAOS

The Bhagavad Gita is a living scripture  universally relevant  today as it was 5000 years ago in the battlefield of Kurukshetra. It is a divine conversation that took place in the battlefield of Kurukshetra  between two best  friends, Lord Krishna the Charioteer and Arjuna the warrior.  'Bhagavad Gita' is an integral part of of Indian mythology  I have always believed mythology is not for everyone including me.  So when my friend, the author of the book  "Understanding Bhagavad Gita", gave me a  copy to review , I was not very comfortable.  I like  'Arjuna'  started looking for excuses . However one day not very soon , "The Recipe For A Better Life " the part of the title  hooked me into reading it The author has covered the essence of 'Gita' inside the  160 pages, through   eighteen Chapters.  Every chapter has an "Introduction", a "Summary" and a "Reflection" The simplicity of his writing gives...
