India Today a matter of "FAITH"

It was the landslide victory in the GE of year 2014 that gave BJP the glittering vision of its political future. The Party’s total faith on its political Slogan “Modi hai to Mumkin hai” then became the party “Bible”. Soon thereafter “Modi” became BJP’s very definition of Democracy .For the first time in the political history of India the voters of the world’s largest democracy decided to unconditionally   agree to not disagree with Modi’s political and administrative decisions. For the people in general Modi’s word became a “Satya Vachan” unmindful of his “Mann Ki Baat”.No doubt he has become the pied piper for the masses. The masses that constitute almost 400 million illiterate people plus over 300 million people living in abject poverty. These are the numbers out of the 900 million total eligible voters that we have in the country at the close year 2019. Incidentally the average voter turnout in any GE generally remains below 60% and bulk of which constitute the illiterate masses.

BJP is basking on its second term landslide victory of year 2019. Modi’s dismal performance, autocratic attitude has done no damage to his win ability factor.

BJP’s rise from being a small political outfit to becoming the world’s largest and India’s mightiest and most cash rich political party is indeed amazing. However a quick review of its last almost 7 years performance tell us how its fast and furious pursuit of ideology based on religion and run on a narrative of “either with us” or “against us” is significantly killing our growth story on all economic parameters. Today the fabric of our “secularism” is at its mocking best and our “Hindutva” sentiments has soared to its muscular peak.

Party’s self-branding as the sole custodian of “Patriotism” is marking  all “Modi” decent as “Desh Drohis” This “Modi Magic” will continue to thrive on the platform of a re-defined Democracy where the power of the people has lost both shine and relevance.

We will need to re-invent “politics” if at all we expect the “Modi Bubble” to burst and till such time “MODI’ is bound to carry on as “Shah” of both India and the Indian politics. Even to think that National Budget for 2020 will have any adverse impact on Modi Shah Politics will be a stupidity. After all India’s present day politics has neither any relevance to Economy, nor Development. All that matters in India to-day is your “Faith”

MY MODISTORY

I am one among 900  million plus    "nuts and bolts" of our  Democracy , who   become "faceless" faces in the crowd after  every 5 years.  Year 2014 election was in every sense historic It was beyond doubt a landslide victory for BJP and the beginning of  the so called "MODI" Raj  In year 2014 my reason and my josh for  casting my vote for  BJP was "Modi". His speeches were "sparkling confidence" that set ablaze the confidence of  the nation that was trying to rise up from the cesspool of corruption   Looking back now after 11 years I realise that year 2014 was also  the beginning of era called   "Political Branding" that would  covert  a "politician" into a larger than life  "Mega Leader" Perhaps that is the reason that today in politics "anti-incumbency" does not matter at all . Here are  in brief  a Common man's  bunch of thoughts on "Modi Story". These ...

CLARITY IN CHAOS

The Bhagavad Gita is a living scripture  universally relevant  today as it was 5000 years ago in the battlefield of Kurukshetra. It is a divine conversation that took place in the battlefield of Kurukshetra  between two best  friends, Lord Krishna the Charioteer and Arjuna the warrior.  'Bhagavad Gita' is an integral part of of Indian mythology  I have always believed mythology is not for everyone including me.  So when my friend, the author of the book  "Understanding Bhagavad Gita", gave me a  copy to review , I was not very comfortable.  I like  'Arjuna'  started looking for excuses . However one day not very soon , "The Recipe For A Better Life " the part of the title  hooked me into reading it The author has covered the essence of 'Gita' inside the  160 pages, through   eighteen Chapters.  Every chapter has an "Introduction", a "Summary" and a "Reflection" The simplicity of his writing gives...
