Let the Devil get it's CREDIT..!

No national level swindling and loot could ever have made such historic headlines as did the recently concluded XXI Commonwealth Games. No political personality in the recent past could have ever remained so long on the headlines and consumed mega marathon bytes as Mr. Kalmadi. His name when googled returns 17,200,000 results in just matter of 0.06 seconds....

Mr Kalmadi remained the common man's a common 'Lakshya' for booing, jeering and venting angers all through the time when CWG was almost perceived to become a write off and a still born delivery. His own political high commands and partners in trade started distancing and disassociating from him. None of his political team after all wanted to be a part of a mega failure that was in an offing then. Then at the nick of time everything changed and an incrediable India rose up to put together a GREAT GRAND MEGA EVENT.

The 2010 Commonwealth Games became a run away success for India both as a host and as a participating nation. A 101 medal tally became every reason for all of us to take pride and be proud for turning a race against time into a race of success, fame and glory. The credit for this should defiantly go to Mr Kalmadi. He deserves it for not running away from the charges lashed on him left, right and center. He deserves it for his deciding to stick around and ensure to see XIX CWG coming to a winning photo finish. This inspite of all the national hate wave that is going against him.

It was sad and disappointing therefore to see the PM snubbing him by not extending him an invite for the Commonwealth felicitation function hosted by him. Again it was shocking to see the madam CM trying to take all the credit for the grand success of CWG. It is sad that our PM and CM are belittling their stature by playing vindictive politics. Its time our national leadership learn to own their failures and allow their success to their Team. I wish they and their high command had kept a heart enough to allow to let the devil get it's CREDIT..!

MY MODISTORY

I am one among 900  million plus    "nuts and bolts" of our  Democracy , who   become "faceless" faces in the crowd after  every 5 years.  Year 2014 election was in every sense historic It was beyond doubt a landslide victory for BJP and the beginning of  the so called "MODI" Raj  In year 2014 my reason and my josh for  casting my vote for  BJP was "Modi". His speeches were "sparkling confidence" that set ablaze the confidence of  the nation that was trying to rise up from the cesspool of corruption   Looking back now after 11 years I realise that year 2014 was also  the beginning of era called   "Political Branding" that would  covert  a "politician" into a larger than life  "Mega Leader" Perhaps that is the reason that today in politics "anti-incumbency" does not matter at all . Here are  in brief  a Common man's  bunch of thoughts on "Modi Story". These ...

CLARITY IN CHAOS

The Bhagavad Gita is a living scripture  universally relevant  today as it was 5000 years ago in the battlefield of Kurukshetra. It is a divine conversation that took place in the battlefield of Kurukshetra  between two best  friends, Lord Krishna the Charioteer and Arjuna the warrior.  'Bhagavad Gita' is an integral part of of Indian mythology  I have always believed mythology is not for everyone including me.  So when my friend, the author of the book  "Understanding Bhagavad Gita", gave me a  copy to review , I was not very comfortable.  I like  'Arjuna'  started looking for excuses . However one day not very soon , "The Recipe For A Better Life " the part of the title  hooked me into reading it The author has covered the essence of 'Gita' inside the  160 pages, through   eighteen Chapters.  Every chapter has an "Introduction", a "Summary" and a "Reflection" The simplicity of his writing gives...
