Mercifully spares.."we the people"

America is not having a jolly good time. It is going through some worst economic & financial crisis. Such crisis however never steals away her priority for the safety of her people. US security officials are increasing their efforts by hour to thwart any possible act of terrorism in advance of the 10th anniversary of September 11th 2001.

Post 9/11 America relentlessly went after 'Al Qaeda' and hounded out Osama bin laden and gave him his watery grave. Post 9/11 no terror outfit dared to hit their shores. Naturally therefore Americans have every reason to feel safe in their country.

The politicians in our country may perhaps never tire themselves from criticizing America and at the same time they neither may ever tire of their frequent tripping to America for pleasure pain & politics. However the saddest part is that they never bring home any learning from them except for the art of being bay watchers of bold & beautiful. Therefore it will not be an all lie on our part if we say we are not all that safe in our own country. This is because our politicians continue to believe in living & growing by the blood of "we the the people".

Till the time we are able to stop the hooliganism of our politicians and their contribution in making our shores a toll free gateway for terrorists , there will be no respite for our country from terror attacks. For now the bloody terror attacks will continue to remain nothing beyond a debating tamasha for both our media & the parliament.

As long as the political will to thwart terror attacks is missing, we will continue to get blasted anywhere any time. Today's blast at Gate no 5 of Delhi High Court is simply a sample of their on going business as usual. These terror attacks have and will continue to remain part of our nightmare of pains of dying in heaps. Therefore what is wrong if we in our pain, wish to look forward for a terror attack that takes a heavy toll of our politicians and mercifully spares ..."We the people..."

In conversation with Bapu....

With 'Sare Jahan Se Achcha' and 'Abide with Me'the Soul-stirring martial tunes and solemn drum beats at the majestic Raisina Hills the "Beating the Retreat" ceremony marked the conclusion of the week long ceremonial functions of India celebrating her 62nd year of Republic. As the illumination lit up the edifices of Imperial India..my thought reached out to that day into the history of independence that finally dropped the curtain on a life called "Gandhi"...the man whose experiment with truth may not have jelled with today but his name has truly become the brand that remain most misused & manipulated both in trade & politics. As I key-in these lines I can read out the conversation that would have transpired between the "soul of Nation" (SON) and "Mahatma Gandhi"(Bapu)....Read on what I read..... SON: Bapu it's me,are you sleeping....? BAPU: How can you ask that...don't you know this day in the year 1948..I was gu...

But 'PAPU' Can "Vote"...'Sala'..!

"Sala".. is a generally accepted slang for both 'hum' the "Hindustani" and 'tum' the "Indian". Together this "HUM TUM" make the "Aam Admi"of the world's largest 'democracy'. This is our "INDIA".I agree with the TV ad that almost says "My India Strongest" in spite of the "Everest" of issues that surround her. Normally in this country the fate of the 'ordinary' people ie 'Aam Admi' always remain woefully harassed, pushed and frustrated through the year. However at the close every 5 years this 'Aam Admi' suddenly become extraordinarily powerful and remain wooed by all 'big, small and sundry' political parties of the country. Yes it is time for General Election. In the coming months for the 15th Lok Sabha, 714 million eligible voters would be 'bee lining' to the ballot boxes across 29 states,6 union territories to elect 543 members . 'Jaago-...

My expiriment with "TRUTH"..

It was today but the year was 1981 and the day was probably a Saturday. I was there on the ceremonial stretch of "Raj path".There were about 4 lac people like me "all excited", getting ready for the "action shot" for Richard Atendbrough's film "GANDHI". The scene was Gandhiji's "funeral procession".I was wearing white khadi "Pajama & Kurta" which I bought from Khadi gram udyog at 'Regal building the previous evening. This was the recommended "dress code" for the shoot. Probably I never thought then that I was about to be part of a "live action crowd" of this magnitude that will never again be filmed. Soon the heavy camera's parked on the cranes started rolling. I lost the count of how many times those giant like cameras zoomed in and zoomed out of me. I was simply emotionally charged walking the stretch shouting "Vande Matram","Mahatma Gandhi" "AmarRahe"...
