A bitten bit of my past !!

    I was the youngest of the 4 siblings and the only son ,but that  never  made me precious and  pampered by the family. My father was in the army. We all  grew up in cantonment environment, hopping almost every 2 years  from one Cantonment to the other  Like from Allahabad’s Draupadi Ghat we came to Calcutta’s Fort William and  then to  Bangalore Cantonment  Bangalore was the only city where we  remained stationed for almost 5 years before getting  shifted to Delhi Cantonment in 1961, 4th of July to be precis It was the year 1959-60 and I was about 10 years old  studying in the 6th form in the Army’s  Regimental school . Around this time my  father decided to put me into “King George Military School” .This  was a ‘day’ Boarding School exclusively for Defence personnels . It is now called “Rashtriya Military School”. There was an aptitude test which I cleared but failed the written test. I was happy, as I will not be sent to  boarding school and be away from family. My Father was huge

Stories of Divine intervention A Review

  I am not a kind of  bonafide bookworm who would  bury his nose in the book .Perhaps this  was the  reason why I  was putting off reading this book  “Maa Maine Hi Maakhan Khayo”.  Eventually when  I did read it,  It was indeed a "Happy reading"  Miracles are amazing things that happen that we can’t explain. “Maa Maine Hi Maakhan Khayo” is a compilation of such miracles  that are presented to us in the form of short stories. Each one of the seven stories that I read was a testament of Lord Krishna’s miracles. We come across divine interventions in one form or other   in every story . Every story is a  reaffirmation of the  idea that “Faith can move Mountains”  Lord Krishna is one of the most widely worshiped and popular Hindu deities  I like the way the author is able to introduce within the  story a character that acts as a testament to Lord Krishna’s divine intervention .
