Stupid people..!

We do generally remain divided in our belief, that 'we the people' under 'democracy' will always remain a 'stupid' lot. However some of us may agree to disagree on that. They maintain that since in 'democracy' it is "we the people" who elect the government,it makes us the "powerhouse" from where the 'government' of our choice draw power to keep the "Sarkar" hail & hearty. Knowing the human 'emotions', I think it will be a healthy proposition to keep such matters untouched & not debated upon. I find therefore, the tabling of " Liberhan Commission" report in the parliament an exercise in futility.
After'17' years of the demolition of "Babiri Masjid", it is pointless to debate on it. However it is getting debated, may be out of a sense of duty, or out of desperate hope. Whatever be the reason, my question is can this country afford the "Parliament" sessions remain engaged, enraged and grossly stand misbehaved beating up a dead horse called "Babiri Masjid".I am sure the national political party named in the "Liberhan commission report" will sooner or later be able to re-cycle this reports for their own 'unique' advantage. It is a known fact that "religiously" 'relevant' issues will always spark a sense of visible discomfort between two major "religions" in this country.
When a so called 'majority' and a politically defined 'minority', pitch for batting, there is always a chance of the the 'pitch' turning wet with human 'blood'. 'Democracy in this country has become a sort of 'Dracula' that can never remain in peace without ever drawing the flesh and blood of who else but the "stupid people"..!

But 'PAPU' Can "Vote"...'Sala'..!

"Sala".. is a generally accepted slang for both 'hum' the "Hindustani" and 'tum' the "Indian". Together this "HUM TUM" make the "Aam Admi"of the world's largest 'democracy'. This is our "INDIA".I agree with the TV ad that almost says "My India Strongest" in spite of the "Everest" of issues that surround her. Normally in this country the fate of the 'ordinary' people ie 'Aam Admi' always remain woefully harassed, pushed and frustrated through the year. However at the close every 5 years this 'Aam Admi' suddenly become extraordinarily powerful and remain wooed by all 'big, small and sundry' political parties of the country. Yes it is time for General Election. In the coming months for the 15th Lok Sabha, 714 million eligible voters would be 'bee lining' to the ballot boxes across 29 states,6 union territories to elect 543 members . 'Jaago-...

In conversation with Bapu....

With 'Sare Jahan Se Achcha' and 'Abide with Me'the Soul-stirring martial tunes and solemn drum beats at the majestic Raisina Hills the "Beating the Retreat" ceremony marked the conclusion of the week long ceremonial functions of India celebrating her 62nd year of Republic. As the illumination lit up the edifices of Imperial India..my thought reached out to that day into the history of independence that finally dropped the curtain on a life called "Gandhi"...the man whose experiment with truth may not have jelled with today but his name has truly become the brand that remain most misused & manipulated both in trade & politics. As I key-in these lines I can read out the conversation that would have transpired between the "soul of Nation" (SON) and "Mahatma Gandhi"(Bapu)....Read on what I read..... SON: Bapu it's me,are you sleeping....? BAPU: How can you ask that...don't you know this day in the year 1948..I was gu...

My expiriment with "TRUTH"..

It was today but the year was 1981 and the day was probably a Saturday. I was there on the ceremonial stretch of "Raj path".There were about 4 lac people like me "all excited", getting ready for the "action shot" for Richard Atendbrough's film "GANDHI". The scene was Gandhiji's "funeral procession".I was wearing white khadi "Pajama & Kurta" which I bought from Khadi gram udyog at 'Regal building the previous evening. This was the recommended "dress code" for the shoot. Probably I never thought then that I was about to be part of a "live action crowd" of this magnitude that will never again be filmed. Soon the heavy camera's parked on the cranes started rolling. I lost the count of how many times those giant like cameras zoomed in and zoomed out of me. I was simply emotionally charged walking the stretch shouting "Vande Matram","Mahatma Gandhi" "AmarRahe"...
